That is gonna bomb too, specially if the Steam "console" rumors are true.

Console gamers started building their digital libraries on PS4 and they are not gonna abandon that, PC gamers already now how to hook up their PC to their TV if they want to and they won't go for a more expensive Xbox branded build that problaly gonna be hard if not imposible to upgrade.

Never said it’ll be a success but it sounds like Microsoft. Will have something in place for their hardcore fans.

Yeah they have already spent years and millions doing R&D on this next console. From the rumors and leaks it's supposed to be a PC/console hybrid. But I can definitely see this as the last one before they go full software

The digital library point is exactly why it makes sense to make the next Xbox a Steam Box.

The only way they can compete with Sony at this point is if they make their next console a PC and allow you to consolidate multiple libraries like their handheld.

It'll still fail if they dont do exclusives though.

It was good while it lasted but they really messed up with the Series Systems, and I have a Series X. The general public is stupid and confusing them never helps. Also, you want it as easy as possible for companies to put games on your system. Having to accommodate and have parity between the two models didn’t do them any favors in the eyes of developers. Should have came out with one system and undercut Sony on price since they were clearly playing catch up from the PS4/Xbox One generation.

Masses aren’t buying a thousand dollar ps6 and Sony knows that (word to the PS3).

PlayStation will be fine. They had their dumb pricing moment already (even though they were losing heavily on the more expensive price with the ps3. Wasn’t their fault imo).

If anything Microsoft has been giving sony as pass to continue following price increase trends for the past two console generation. They are the ones that lead to us paying for online gaming

I don’t want microsoft to leave the industry just because having more money pouring in from a major platform and publisher is good but this idea that they are the ones holding the line is hilarious. Don’t blame anyone else for microsofts incompetence in every market outside of windows

I never made that argument...Its basic business 101 bruh, without competition the other side has free reign to do whatever they want...That's never a good thing for the consumer...You can't name me one situation like that where the consumer benefited...
