This shyt bombed out
in this economy nobody wants to spend the money to see terpene sprayed mid in theaters. It needs to feel like an event or created by directors/cast the audience already rocks with. Next year will be the test to see if Hollywood can pull out of it's current slump
edit: I personally do fukk with Edgar Wright and a lot of other people do too and people seem to like Glen Powell. But the vibe of the trailer wasn't hitting for me and nowadays that's all it takes to sink a movie. Studios and creatives just need to come a little harder with it, pause. What's the last trailer you saw that really wowed you? Even movie posters are wack now. You keep seeing these low budget horror films that become hits (I don't even like most of them tbh) because they know how to do a lot with a limited budget and build hype though trailers and marketing. Blew $100 mil on this when you could have made an original film for half the budget that played more to Glen's strengths.
