I was indifferent to him, but I'm glad he's not in Roman's spot. Moves good, character's cool, love Lana and I'd want him to throw me around like a rag doll.

Met with skepticism cause we've all seen the character before, but then when you see the performer... haven't seen him do anything bad yet. Even if he loses to Cena, I don't see that being it for him... and if he wins, it shows they got plans for him. And yeah, he could eventually turn face. It'll probably happen when they start de-emphasizing the anti-American part of the gimmick, then they'll end up landing him into conflict with another heel.

He's capable of being in classic matches IMO. Him vs Daniel Bryan, Sami Zayn or someone of that ilk in a 25 minute match could be a MOTY. His selling is awesome, his moveset is brutal, and he sells his character on some Marlon Brando shyt. I don't see many weaknesses

Cena's like the new HHH... a nikka can lose to anybody else and it's a loss. They lose to Cena and it's the end of their career that they'll never recover from. If Vince & co. want Rusev to be a top star, he'll be a top star. Nobody falls down the card unless they want them to.

If he does turn face, I hope it's not in a corny way like when Nicolai did it. Just stay the same, no need to change a thing.

The character has an obvious ceiling and limitation that I hope doesn't hold the performer down. Been saying that because I hope he makes it in spite of that
Dude playing the character is a solid in ring performer, always has been. Hopefully they've got him studying Nikita Koloff/ Ivan.

I hoped he would get this type of run when I saw him in FCW. Then he suffered that terrible leg injury and a broken neck. Seeing his improvement has been refreshing. Being able to wrestle/work has extended the shelf life of his foreign nationalist gimmick because you forget about the silliness of the gimmick once he steps in the ring. The match he had with Ryback was one of the better "big guy" matches I've seen in the last few years.
