Any tips for where to park if someone wants to drive from out of state go to Manhattan but avoid the tolls?
I parked in NJ before (Newark?), paid $20 to park then caught a NJ Transit train to MSG. That might be the move but I wonder how crowded it'll be now

I understand congestion pricing during the week especially during rush hours, but to have it 24/7 and weekends is overkill and an obvious money grab tax to fund the MTA. They're probably the most wasteful/corrupt agency in the entire country. They should have seriously audited the MTA and exhausted every avenue before giving the public another tax (that would have made too much sense by our trash leaders to do).

I haven't noticed any additional trains running to take on the extra riders. If anything the last 2 weeks I've experienced longer wait times and way more crowded. MTA is fully of shyt and we have a terrible governor and mayor!

They haven't. They started a new schedule back in December, and the rush hour trains are still the same intervals & headways pre congestion pricing.

WAn extra $21.60 on a truck making a delivery of thousands of dollars worth of goods should have no appreciable effect on the cost of those goods. It’s in the noise.
So one truck provides a restaurants or grocery stores full stock of things for the week?

I got resturants owners in my fam who recieve delivery at least 3 times a week. Some weeks its 5 days. Different suppliers.

And im not even considering multitudes of different kinds businesses and their needs.

So is this good or bad for the city?
Bad. People think it's cool now, because their commute time via car into Midtown might have dropped. But those local businesses in the cg zone going to start charging more for their services. Something folks who were against it from the jump have been saying.

Is this due to the congestion surge fees? or?

I haven't really paid attention so I'm not sure what the factors are.

No, but one truck would carry thousands of dollars worth of products. That $21.60 increase is socialized over the value of the load being delivered (whether it’s to one store or multiple stores; whether it’s a full or partial stocking). It’s in the noise.
