Luck has less tds, more ints, less wins, lower qb rating, lower ypa, and less rings. Only thing he has over Russ is yards. I'm trying to see where you think he's better.

Russell Wilson benefits from a top rushing attack and top defense. Sure he balled out with them, but who tf wouldn't? Luck had no run game of any sort, his top WR and TE was injured yet he still did the most he could with his limited weapons and average defense.

You give half the starting QBs in the league a devastating power run game and a historically great defense and tell them to go out there and not fukk up, and they'd have similar success, if not more.

Alex Smith had a career change once he got a top 5 running game and top D. Russ is better than him, but things are easier when a QB can play conservatively. Put Russ on Chicago and ask him to put up 3+TDs a game and things change.

This. Hes a mediocre QB. He plays on a defense first, run the ball type team. SEA isn't asking Russ Will to beat teams...it's a good formula and they're winning with it so no hate, but he's a mediocre passer and leads a below average passing game. #facts

on this board sounds like you can only be a good qb if you throw for 29313 yards and toss 30+ TDs in your first 2 NFL seasons while having a shytty defense so you always have to throw

as a matter of fact, people will ignore the fact that teams with shytty defense will always inflate a qbs volume stats, but complain about 'game managing'. thats what qbs do, make decisions. russ is great at making decisions.

theres a resemblance of tom brady in russ wilson, Ive always said it, but you cant even talk about short passes or other berating stuff because russ makes big plays as well as anyone in the league.

russ may very well be top 5 qb this year, its really a crapshoot outside the top 4

'game managing' is what a qb is supposed to be doing in the first place, football is a game of circumstances and qb position is about making good decisisons

I disagree. He's not even top 10 if you look at his passing stats. He does what SEA needs to do and it's a winning formula so I'm not mad at it, but he's top 15 at best right now. That's always been the barometer for how you judge elite QBs. Just because you find a great QB as useful as a backup long snapper doesn't mean that's how the rest of us who watch football view them. Elite QBs are judged by their statistical performance in the regular season. You get judged on your playoff win loss record when you've already established yourself in the league
