The offense and Russ turned to shyt the second half of the season because Pete pulled the plug like @South Paw said. They were putting up 30+ basically every week the first two months of the season. After the Buffalo loss, Pete went back to Big Ten, three yards and a cloud of dust bullshyt and threw everything out of whack. They never got their rhythm back after that.
It's been a staple of Pete with Russ and I've been saying for years they need to fire Pete and hire a modern coach who doesn't hold Russ back. Look at their recent playoff games. Russ is the only elite QB who barely gets 25-30 attempts in postseason games. Pete won't let him air it out and win games. Seattle's ownership is delusional with their support for him.
It's gonna take 3-5 more wild or divisional losses to get him fired.
