It just dont work like that. He’s worth whatever you needed to pay him. It’s all relative.

Like would it make you feel better if he was getting paid 30M? Bc that’s pretty much the minimum for a solidified starting veteran QB. So what’s an extra 10 mill? A starting nickleback? It’s silly.

You either have a QB on rookie deal, a fringe starter bridge QB who can implode at any moment (see the Passtranaut, see Jimmy G, see PJ Walker), or you’re paying 30 mill +. That’s the cost of piece of mind and a workable piece of clay. So in this context, he’s worth 40M. Ie Ask Minnesota fans what Kirk is worth now :pachaha:
It would make the Broncos feel much better about it, yes as it would give them more flexibility and resources to help try and mask his obvious deficiencies.

Russ contract and the fact that he wasn't Peyton's guy is the reason why we're having this discussion in the first place.

Again using Cousins is a poor example because he's a better QB at this point in his career than Russ and Peyton would gladly take him over Russ if the opportunity presented itself.

Yeah

Unless they see a potential Lamar, you don’t draft non elite QBs in the first two rounds, imo. You are wasting a pick and deluding yourself. The 2011 draft was the ultimate version of this with all the reaches that ended up at best as back ups.
Generally I agree with that. But if you're going to do that this is the year to do it.

Assuming Maye, Caleb and Daniels are top 5 picks, there is a good chance some combination of Nix, Penix, JJ and Ewers are mid to late first rounders. In weaker drafts Nix and Penix are top 10 picks, and JJ and Ewers are mid first rounders. The QB talent in this draft is really solid.

Because you're googling numbers most likely not watching games

Miami, SF, Philly, KC, pretty much every contender calls exotic shyt to get guys free, they run a super basic high volume check offense because he can't get the ball down the field anymore. Side effect of the numbers looking great is you ain't winning shyt

Some of it is he's not throwing to Metcalf & Lockett anymore, some of it the arm looks weaker. A huge chunk of it has been a problem his whole career, he can't read defenses because he can't see over his linemen. Seattle Russ could scramble out to see guys, he still needs to leave to see but he can't evade defenders anymore, on top of being slower. So what's the point of him?

If Denver didn't go on that run nobody would be surprised he's not a winning QB anymore
how did the seahawks win with similar numbers from him?

So 10 million would make you feel better. You don’t see how silly that is?? :pachaha:

If you’re paying a QB your flex is port is gone, whether you pay him 30 or 40M.

That loss of flexibrlky can be offset by trades. They had the chance to trade Juedy —-who’s a bum—-to a few desperate teams. They didn’t do it.

Are you really going to ask teams if they could use $10 million dollars in extra space :mjlol:

My opinion about Russ isn’t new as i’ve been calling him meh and washed since the beginning of last season.

I feel you. I’m not sure about Bo Nix, tbh and Penix has knee issues and is older.

But I feel what you mean about there being a deep pool. My whole thing is don’t reach for a player that’s not graded highly, especially a QB.

I think Russ has been very average this year
Payton flat out fukked that last game though
Beli was trying to run out the clock and this a$$hole kept taking timeouts so Beli just decided to go for the win and their alleged best player Surtain got torched for like 25 yards by a mid WR
