they did Russ dirty as hell

Which is another reason why players should get as much at signing as they can because teams will fukk you over if they have an leverage to do so.

Do not give teams that guaranteed for injury loophole.

If the Browns tried this with Watson, he would laugh at them and tell them to fukk off.

I’ll answer this. Bc Seattle had an elite defense

What i haven’t seen people bring up is….the broncos had a top 10 defense last year :wtf: suppose to have an elite defense right now

But hey I like playing devils advocate so just for kicks and giggles

Russ vs NE 25/37 238, 2td
Lamar vs SF 23/35 252, 2td

:pachaha::hubie::mjgrin:

IM NOT SAYIN RUSS PLAYED AS WELL AS LAMAR :lolbron:

But one man got 4 picks from his defense and short fields. The other had a defense give up 26 to Bailey Zappe. IJS I say that just to point out scheme matters, defense matters, and the way people talk QBs is often based on narrative
I get what you're saying. But Lamar is capable of more than russ at this stage.

They feel russ ain't worth the money given how limited the offense is. If asked to do more, they think Russ can't

They’re stuck with Russ. His dead cap money is crippling. He isn’t going anywhere.

I mean, if he doesnt why did he agree to come out of retirement to coach the broncos ?

He thought he was gonna be traded to another team (since was still under contract with the Saints).

He was dead wrong.

Shoulda stayed in N.O. and dealt with the mess HE created

And his situation in Denver is karma for convincing Loomis to promote Stinky instead of hiring Pederson here in N.O.

But look at the ratings! :deadrose:

I agree that’s what THEY think, but to me thats on coaching.

The Steelers can say we don’t have a QB to do what we want. The Jets can say that. The giants can say that. Not the broncos. Not with Russell Wilson. Nah. He’s good enough. You coach him up. Scheme him up. Another coach led had him to a Super Bowl. Stefanaki has Flacco looking like Brady. Steichen has Minshew ballin. Look at Baker Mayfield. Etc

So alot of these excuses simply don’t fly anymore bc we are in the scheme era. Guys we thought were journeymen/busts are ballin out. While simultaneously damn near every QB not named Mahomes is lookin pedestrian. Scratch that, even Mahomes. So it’s scheme and coaching

Russ PR team feeding the streets with the spin control

I mean to be fair Russ got a legit beef. I understand wanting to sit him to avoid triggering the money next season, but trying to sit your QB while contending for a playoff spot makes the organization look terrible Full stop no excuses. If they had come to him for the first time after Sunday's loss to the Patriots then sure, that would make perfect sense. But that KC win was ages ago, when they were 3-5. In position to still get something done. And of course they went on a winning streak right there and looked like contenders until the Lions bombed them.

All those guys you mentioned are inexpensive. None of them are $50 million guys

And Wilson also has a lot of playoff tape on him, and the team's chances of making it far are small

I do agree with others that this move does seem out of spite from Sean Payton

The right way, the wrong way and the Max Power way
What year is this? The outrage doesn't make sense :mjlol: Russ is washed and that contract is a complete goat rope inherited from a previous regime (GM Paton will be gone soon). The Broncos are trying everything in their power to facilitate the process of eventually getting out of it. Welcome to the NFL, The Shield > Players Feefees.
