Aaron Rodgers money????
If he can negotiate that, yea

It's not really based on how good you are relative to other QB's. It's about how hard it would be to find a replacement if you walked. Ryan and Cam are at 20mil and they haven't been as successful. I'd say he deserves more than them. Somewhere between Big Ben and Arod is where he needs to be. If not higher

Russell is the most important person on the team.

continue to act like Matt Hasslebeck,Charlie Whitehurst and Tavaris Jackson manning the same squads would've got the same results.

I agree with everyone except Matt Hasselbeck, low key he was an underrated QB and this is from a 49ers fan.

Those of you that think Russ isn't that good need to consider something,

His starting receivers signed deals that pay them between 2-4mil per year after their rookie contracts....

A good receiver is paid anywhere between 6-15 mil per year in this league.

Russel's receivers would be lucky if they could get a job anywhere else in the league to be honest.

When you watch guys like Kearse and Baldwin run their routes, it reeks of "college player"...

That's why this man has to scramble and run so much, his receivers barely get open.

If Hasselbeck had that D, they would have won a few SBs. In his prime, he was pretty good.

I'm reading some of the most ridiculous crap in here. I hope the hawks break the bank on this guy. Dear God please make this happen.

All that $ for 20 TDs. :mjlol:
Lmao. And I'm the one saying ridiculous crap? Ok

In the 8 years Matt Hasselbeck was on the Seahawks he got them into the playoffs 6 of those years and got into a Superbowl. If Hasselbeck has a defense half as good as the Seahawks have now, he wins a superbowl. I mean his receiving corps was made by the ghost of Joe Jurevicious and the corpse of of Bobby Ingram.

I can't fukkin believe I'm defending Hasselbeck.

look, even if Russ is as good as the elites (which I haven't seen much to say he is), he's not playing in a system that requires elite play from him really. That team doesn't flow through him and he's not out there leading them to victories. He provides great plays and his mobility is elite, but he's not really essential to that squad. If this dude was on Jacksonville or Cleveland, sure, I say break the bank for him. But on a squad with such a diverse and deep roster, it makes no sense to make him the highest paid QB in the league. It's not about how talented Russ is, it's about how talented the rest of that team is. You can't replace Beast Mode, you can't replace the LOB, you can replace 3,400 yards, 20 tds and 7 ints. His running talent is elite, but i'd spend the money on a slightly less talented game manager and 2 good wrs than Russ. Diversify the offense and plug in a safe QB, they'll still be back to the SB.
