Russ does what this system requires of him very well; buying time and going vertical. But there's just no way I'm breaking the bank for a QB on a team with an elite RB/running game. The only guys I'm giving those contracts to are guys who are earning it with their production. I would much rather pick up a Teddy Bridgewater in the draft and get a top WR in FA than pay Russ and have him try to do everything like in that NFCCG. Unless Russ shows that he can be that 35+ attempts per game guy, i'm telling him to get lost with this 21+ mil a year.

Y'all ain't Cleveland though. If the Browns had that D, and Marshawn, they'd be in the playoffs every year regardless of who was taking snaps under center.

I think the Seahawks would be better off with slightly worse QB play than paying Russ to be Drew Brees. If Alex Smith could have taken that team to the SB, why are you paying Peyton Manning to? And if y'all give Russ this contract, you better hope your drafting is much better than it has been the past 2 years cuz you're gonna need some home run rookies to sustain that offense. Russ with a wack pass pro OL, no RB and marginal wrs is no bueno.
