And russ is a big reason for that elite running game.
But look what Ben turned into. Brady had a similar situation early in his career.
You don't let franchise qbs walk. Teams like Cleveland have went through like 30 qbs in the last 10 years.
And you want to drop down to a average qb knowing they'll lose lynch in a year or two?
Yeah, and Ben and Brady both signed their first big contract extensions after they proved they can be the main man in their offenses. Russ is trying to do so before. Honestly, Russ is the perfect dude for these new incentive based QB contracts.
Y'all ain't Cleveland though. If the Browns had that D, and Marshawn, they'd be in the playoffs every year regardless of who was taking snaps under center.
I think the Seahawks would be better off with slightly worse QB play than paying Russ to be Drew Brees. If Alex Smith could have taken that team to the SB, why are you paying Peyton Manning to? And if y'all give Russ this contract, you better hope your drafting is much better than it has been the past 2 years cuz you're gonna need some home run rookies to sustain that offense. Russ with a wack pass pro OL, no RB and marginal wrs is no bueno.
