Russia has one of the largest caches of natural resources (not just including oil/nat gas) so they're going to be fine long term.

the vast majority of oil imported into America comes from Canada, let that marinate.
if Canada cut into Russia's export market they could bring Russia to it's knees financially within a year...then follow up militarily in Syria and call it a night.

it may get to the point where it does not matter who wins the election and Canada will be forced into taking military action on a scale not seen since WW2.
the way i see it, Canada is going to be neck deep in Syria by this time next year with at least 100,000 troops on the ground.

The fact that so many dunces in this thread think that the US could do anything to Russia. They lost 20 million people in WW2 and all of their infrastructure and rebuilt themselves to a superpower. If the US lost 20 million people in any fashion the whole country would tuck their soft shyt in. US has never seen a major war on its territory. Everyone forgets the US wanted nothing to do with Hitler until shyt was a sure thing.
