There isn't a single provision that states that during war the current president doesn't haven't to vacate their position. There's never been an incident where there wasn't an election during a war. Lincoln had to do an election during the Civil War and Roosevelt had to do one during WW2, and this is before the 22nd Amendment. Roosevelt got a 4th term during that election but it was because of him that the 22nd Amendment was created.
