At what point does one country just say fukk it and drop a nuke? How long can a skirmish like this go on for until one country lets their nuts hang and go scorched earth? The ball is in Russia’s court and if they taking it there then make it happen.
The ABSOLUTE WORSE CASE happening imo is the Russians going apeshyt and deciding to invade the Baltics and/or less likely Romania, Moldova and Bulgaria as part of a preemptive offensive if they get Intel that NATO is gonna drop them thangs. The West isn't gonna drive deep into Russia to cut off Putin's head for fukking Estonia and Lithuania... and Russia knows better than to try and cross into Poland (they might tho) but definitely not Germany. Anyone who joined after 97 is at risk but not the core members. Both sides would bring out the nukes in those cases. But there's potential for major, MAJOR fukkery to happen in Eastern Europe if this gets out of hand. The plot of games like Modern Warfare and Battlefield do a decent, if sensational job, of detailing what a major NATO/Russian escalation would look like.
