Yup, nobody should take anything Murkowski says seriously, or any other Republican senator for that matter. Vulnerable senators are just saying that because they don't wanna get voted out. Inauguration is not until January, though, so they can still vote after election. They lose the election, then they'll vote to confirm as a "fukk you" to the ones who voted them out. They win the election, then they'll still vote to confirm after they win since they don't have to worry about reelection now.

This doesn't mean as much as yall think. Obama lost the senate in 2010. He asked her in his 2nd term, Mitch McConnell would've still be the one to lead the vote to replace her then too. Obama nominated another Judge and Mitch McConnell sat on it.

No he did not. The bold is incorrect. Democrats lost the house majority that year, but held on to the Senate in 2010. They did eventually lose it in the 2014 elections, but in between 2010 and 2014, the Democrats gained seats in the Senate during Obama's reelection in 2012.
