Not coming at OP cuz I don't know his income or budget but it sound like she is used to a standard and used Ruth Chris as a filter to see if you can carry that weight without complaining about price.

Her logic is, if her date can't afford the steakhouse she ain't wasting her time on lower income man, nothing to gain from yall interaction.

The guy I'm seeing to took me to a comparable steak house on our first date. It was not a chain though, it was a restaurant unique to my city. He also flew out to see me to he wanted to fly me out to him, but I wasn't comfortable with that. I think he paid at least $180 or so for our first date? The place he wanted to take me too was pricier than that but I wasn't really feeling the vibe like that, so we went to the above.

But he can afford that. My last boyfriend was not nearly so well off but we lasted for over 5 years. He splurged when he could afford it and I loved him regardless. He was going to be great things in thw future and despite us breaking off, we both know that I supported him through his most difficyut times. Dating a guy who is established and well off has its perks though. I never come out of pocket for anything.

I down play my financial security when it comes to woman i'm dating.

Im a paranoid guy and think all women are out for my money, so I keep the first date simple. I don't even like to bring women back to my crib when i first meet them, because it always lead to them counting my pockets.
