I almost feel bad for some of yall who cant pull a woman without the promise of a free meal. lol. You should never have to take a women out or spend money just to find out if she is into you.. You should know that before taking her out. And if you are meeting up with a stranger for a first date coffee is a better look but you still shouldn't be paying for it. That's beta male thinking. She can buy her own mocha latte. If she feeling you it wont matter. Instead of chasing these chicks and wasting money yall need to step your game up to where these same women are offering to take you out.

"we going dutch" girl: "oh you broke" me: "maybe maybe not...so you still wanna hang out?" girl "whatever" so we get there eat have a good time when the bill comes i wait to see her pull out her card then when she about to pay i tell her i got it. next date though is dutch for sure. keep 'em guessing. that way also you know she's there for you and not a free meal. also, she may respect you more this way.

I've been married a long time, but the only way I'm going to a Ruth's Chris is if there's NOTHING decent in that town.

When we go to Chicago (every couple months) we walk by Ruth's Chris in favor of one of the zillion steak and chop houses with real atmosphere (and which don't pay Sean Hannity to advertise for them).

It's not even a money thing. I'd much rather pay the same (or more) money at a down to earth spot not filled with people trying to seem classy, wealthy or important. And I wouldn't waste my time with a broad that needed that.

Tip for you young nikkas and tricks....Yelp and look up "coffee shops"...nice ambience and usually a nice mom and pop place. You shouldn't have to spend more than $15-20 for drinks and some scones or a muffin. For the first date try to set the meet up time at the coffee shop after lunch and a few hours before dinner so the bytch won't get any idea about you getting her dinner and hopefully she has already eaten a primary meal.

Never heard of "Ruth's Steakhouse", but that is outrageous for a first date.

I hear what you're saying about levels and whatnot.
But we're talking about a first date.
Even if we assume money is no issue...
If you go to a Michelin rated restaurant on the first date, what are you gonna do on the 2nd and 3rd dates?
You can't just go from that to pizza and a movie because the expectation has been set.
Not to mention, the fact that you don't even know this person to be spending $x00 dollars on them (even if you have money to blow).
So it sets a bad precedent, imo.
Just like if a woman OFFERED deepthroat head on the first date, it would be . Just like a woman getting Ruth's Chris on a first date, I'm still gonna take it, but it's going to strike me as odd every subsequent time we go out and I DON'T get deepthroat.

it's all about how you present yourself and how comfortable you are. if i had money and wanted to eat some good food at a restaurant with a bad chick, i would. if the next date i just wanna chill and eat some pizza, but she doesn't want to i already know she goin to the bushes or fwb

Not a good idea for a first date, even if budget wasn't an issue, unless you already have a great vibe with the girl through phone convo or text, gchat, facetime, whatever, then I could see going high-end, but outside of that, big negative on spending on a broad you don't even know....

Happened to me before with this Rican chick when I started dating more and going out when I became more established, went to this expensive steakhouse (for her since she was living with her Mom and didn't work full-time). I was thinking with the wrong head and went to try impress and didn't do my homework....surprise surprise, she was an arrogant and type-A personality talking up marriage on our first date....bullet dodged....

A few more dates later, met this med student doing her 3rd year of med school, Thai restaurant then back to her place the same night....but to be honest I doubt she'd care where we went, she was feelin me....

I admit that it's overrated. I've only been a few times but in terms of price it's really not that much of a difference between the other chains (Earls, Moxies etc).

Menu is pretty much the same for chain restaruaunts with slight variations, but the atmosphere of Joey's give off that "nouveau rich" vibe which makes it seem pretentious.
