far nicer steakhouses don't even enforce dress codes. ruth chris is an upscale chain restaurant.

The demographic this applies to doesn’t go to top tier steakhouses like that…

And a lot of upscale restaurants do have a dress code.

This is the bottom line. People love to be “offended” over nothing. And I resent people acting like black people must all feel the same about something. None of the many black people I know - friends, family or acquaintance is going to any decent restaurant looking like they’re going to the gym.

That place used to be considered fine dining. Now people are saying they’re not and I’m sure the dress code had something to do with that. They’re just trying to get the crown back

No, their food being trash had something to do with it. My dad like Ruth Chris and we went there for his bday 3 years ago, would’ve been better off across the street at Cheesecake Factory for a fraction of the price

I ain’t a steak person to have remembered them, but from trips to Vegas to corporate dinners with execs, I’ve been to some legit independent or higher end steakhouses imwhere the food quality is faaaar beyond Ruth Chris, the decor, staff, and dining experience far exceeded it too.
