Native Americans have connections to the ancestors and the supernatural so they are very aware of what he is and are hunting him. Maybe they kept him at bay from biting people. There are levels to it. There is a part of me that thinks he represents colonization even though the character is Irish.
We don’t know, so we’re filling the blanks. I also appreciate that and why I don’t think a sequel is needed. This just works great without having to explain everything.
I think he just represented white people. How you got to invite them in and how they cause havoc and how religion means nothing to them because it was used to exploit them too.

Caught the afternoon show today. Great movie theater experience. I used to be an avid movie theater goer pre covid. Then Covid happened and I got used to movies coming to streaming so quickly, I pretty much stopped going to the movies.

The whole time I’m watching this movie, I was like, this is why we go to the movies. My lil 70 inch screen set up is cool, but nothing beats the movie theater experience.

Another great article on the meaning behind why the vampire is Irish.

Why Is Remmick, the Master Vampire in 'Sinners,' Irish?

In “Sinners,” Remmick, while trying to convince Smoke and Stack to join his regime, suggests that he understands the Black American’s plight in the U.S. whilst also asking them to hand over Sammie (Miles Canton) so that he can possess his musical talents for his own benefit (this is, of course, a nod toward assimilation and cultural appropriation). Just as his ancestors were forced out of their cultural origins and liberties by the British, Remmick makes a promise to bring the Black partygoers to freedom if they will assimilate. He tells them he wants to share his message of “fellowship and love.”

Those things are witchcraft and demonic

And African Americans gonna be in for a rude awakening cosplaying and jumping on this “these were are real ways” bandwagon (I understand why because we long for our stolen past)

But talk to some real Africans living overseas.

This ish is real and ppl don’t f with it never have and can’t understand yall new love affair with “thinking” it’s the way.

I got more but I’ll let the thread rock
Our people used it and Christianity to golem them through, it wasn’t just one or the other
