Movie was dope and the only minor complaint I have is the inconsistency of the vampire's strength.

In some scenes
(Stack breaking the door off it's hinges)
they seemed stronger than humans but in other scenes they were getting washed by humans in hand-to-hand combat.

But like I said it's a pretty inconsequential complaint.

I finally got around to watching this after the hype. I'm pleasantly surprised. 8/10.

The music and cinematography was dope.

MBJ did his thing. Miles Caton is a star in the making :ehh:

I probably would've went out the same way as Stack if Hailee Steinfeld was pushing up on me :sadcam:

My favorite character was Delta Slim (Delroy Lindo). Funniest character in the movie lol

The ending was :ohhh:

You know what, I'm so glad Disney/Marvel turned down Ryan's Blade Origins movie. Instead, he came up with his original movie.

Sinners is way better than any Blade movie could have been. Marvel movies are just candy and never will be art. No matter how good they are.

I think the problem is when they show Delta's old ass fighting people off.

Because the only other person that is shown having real hand to hand combat is Smoke. And you can kinda excuse as hero/ultimate badass. Delta should have had a gun and in a corner or something. Truthfully I wish they made better use of that space.

I agree and disagree.

If Marvel made this exact same movie and called it Blade: Origins....people would have shytted on this compared to how its viewed now. Marvel isnt allowed to do anything too different because people have expectations on what a Marvel film should be People have ideas of what a Blade movie should be. So there is no way a Blade film wouldnt have people mad about only seeing action for like the last 20/30 mins.

Its the studios for sure for being scary. However, part of it is the audiences still wanting that same feeling. Creating new shyt allows for people to be open to accepting it.

Just watched it last night with my girl. I somehow managed to avoid all spoilers. Didn’t even watch any trailers. The only thing I vaguely knew is that it had vampires and that is because I overheard a guy in the post office say it

Me and my girl thoroughly enjoyed it. I like the vampire/demon/black eyed kids lore where they have to be invited in.
I assumed the vampires was going to try and burn down he juke joint to force them out. Did not see the twist of the Asian chick wanting the smoke. It makes sense considering they knew where her kid was.

I was very satisfied when he put the beats on the Klan. When they bought the juke joint I told my girl I bet those cacs circle back after they get their money and will try and take it back.

Hot ass day and another cousin said he never saw it so…gave me an excuse to see it again a haha.

The place was damn near packed, again. Months after release. They moved it to one of the medium sized theater rooms but I bet it would still be selling out the big screens if they put it back. If Warner puts it back in IMAX for Halloween I’m gonna go again lol. This is my first time seeing it in standard and you can def tell the difference. Similar to when I saw Dune 2 in IMAX and then saw it again in standard. Still a great experience but def feels smaller.
