True, but maaaaaaaaaaaaaaany people whether in the hood in the states or outside of it struggle with that same shyt - fitting in vs being who they are..& we all know where many of them fit in. The problem is that being an artist in "urban music" in 2014 and for at least 20 years or so almost psychologically includes appearing as cool as you can seem. So you have to do what attracts people to pay attention to you as an artist and what makes people pay attention to you in "urban music" than to act suuuuuper cool, talk about hoes, guns, money etc? So it's both artist/the industrys fault but just as much peoples fault.

Aight. I listened to the whole show and Ryan came off way more sane and digestible than the Hot97 interview. I'm sure the human annoyance of Ebro/Rosenberg didnt help but this was a good interview/show by Combat.
Ryan made alot of sense and some very good points in this interview and even his recap on the Cassie/Puff shyt made sense and he kept it moving. I'm glad he didnt spend 45 mins dwelling on it and I hope his ventures pop off. I mos def miss the old Ryan who would have the producing videos and shyt, but if he wanna go the rap route, then its on him at the end of the day. Him talking about being broke/hungry and washing up in the bathroom was some insight that i didnt previously know. I've shytted on him in the past but I respect what he's trying to do.
