This video is the epitome of what I was talking about.
Four guys blowing up 7 guys. 7 guys covering three receivers. 1 guy watching the qb to see if he runs, and the lineman flying directly to tannehill the moment he gets to his drop.

Tannehill had time in this clip. I count 4 seconds from the start of his drop to sack. Tannehill set his feet and double clutched instead of releasing the ball. This is cclassi indecision. Tannehill had 4 viable options on this play: make a passing play; realize his receivers are blanketed and make time by escaping the pocket; run; get sacked.

He made the worse decision of the 4.

:heh:

Yes, let's cut three lineman in as many week, and pretend that the problem is the qb.

unbeleivable.

I don't give a fukk about the qb, I'd say the same for any qb that was here. NO ONE is winning with that oline.

Anyone thinking otherwise needs to watch more football.
Have you ever played football? Everybody is saying the same thing nikka. Everybody sees the O Line isn't good but he isn't helping the cause either by sitting there in the pocket like he has all day to throw :heh:
And stop calling them starters when you know damn well they're back ups who were called up after injuries :rudy:

Tannehill had time in this clip. I count 4 seconds from the start of his drop to sack, and he double clutched the ball as well managed to tip top forward at the end of his drop. That's more than enough time right get rid of the ball.
So seven guys defending 4 guys. Trips left. Receivers all covered. Three seconds before the defender gets to him.
It's a combination of a coverage sack, and poor blocking. If you watch there is a defender eyeing tannehill the whole time waiting for him to run. Tannehill could have stepped forward, and probably should have shuffled but that would have only delayed the sack .5 seconds.

7 guys in to block......SEVEN! And a four man rush killed them.

:mjlol: You just exposed yourself, that's plenty of time. And if you look to the right of the screen. He was supposed to dump it off but he looked it off and got hit

Yes I have played football, that's why I get it.

And Dallas Thomas has started more games than he hasn't in his career including all 16 last year and another this year.
Same can be said with turner starting 14 games out of the 20 in his career including this year.

dogg, you guys are arguing and don't realize that neither of you are wrong. The o-line is trash AND Tannehill sucks lol. Why can't both be true, it's not like you're forced to blame one or the other. I think the team stinks as a whole aside from maybe 7-8 players, but I've seen enough to say Tannehill isn't the answer. I'm pretty confident he'd be average even on a good team, he just doesn't have the instincts of the guys who have been playing the position their whole life at a high level.
Exactly. Both are a problem.
But you got one goofball in here talking about Tannehill is the least of their problems.

No he isn't.
Having an awful player at your most important position is a MAJOR problem.

Thanks for showing me how little you know.

Three receivers on the field, trips left. All three receivers to the left with ajayi sliding out on the right as the fall back.
Tannehill rolls back, watching the three run their routes, nothing open (go figure with seven men defending) he didn't have time to even progress to the right before he was hit.

But yea, thanks for coming out.

Oline, dline, lb, cb, and rb are all bigger problems than qb. All of them

But I'll let you tell it.

Make a throw, throw the ball away, escape the pocket and try to make a play, run. No reason to get sacked after 3+ seconds in the pocket.

A five year veteran taking a 5 step drop off a shotgun formation tells me all I need to know about Tannehill's understanding of the quarterback position.

Throw the ball away, escape the pocket or run. No reason to get sacked after 3+ seconds in the pocket.
So you have never heard of a coverage sack?
Happens to every qb in almost every game.

No qb should be touched at the top of their drop back, tannehill routinely is getting pressured. More than any qb in the league.

But yea......y'all continue to dismiss that.

Cruisin’
How Tanny got any fan and supporters is beyond mind boggling. It would make sense of he had one year where he was tearing it it up and fell off but Tanny has never been that dude or shown promises of being that dude:mindblown:
:whoa:

2013-2014, he showed promise. I'll never forget that November game at Denver when he threw for 300+ yds, 4TD's and 0 INT's/TO's and our defense F'd it all up. Tanny has shown flashes of promise. The problem is, he's shown soooo many more flashes of trash in that same time-span. I'd just lay it all in the hands of Gase, and let him evaluate things further, since we brought him in to be the QB Doctor, as well as the coach. But as for me, I'm just about to jump into the GiveUpOnTanny camp. We need to stop protecting him. Our O-Line is bottom tier. But Russell Wilson stays on the ground, yet finds a way to make the right plays and has solid pocket awareness, and knows how to play situational football. Tanny seems aloof at moments.

:russ: Officially exposed.....thanks though.

Look at this scrub getting eaten up and losing thx to a shytty oline(why did Aaron Rodgers take a five step drop back while in the shotgun)

And now we wait for idiots to say I was comparing tannehill to the gawd, and completely disregarding the video...

Ryan's indecision caused the sack. He reached the end of his drop, set his feet and double clutched before the sack.
