I kinda feel bad for him, on the WM pre-show the day before WM XXX he mentioned the Goldberg chants and you could tell they really bothered him.

We're just going to forget about how he's mediocre in just about every aspect?
That's why I wasn't mad they made Punk beat him in 2012. If they had to choose between protect your year long champion who you are prepping to job to The Rock, and protect a guy who was very over but was still miles away from being a sure thing as a main eventer, of course Punk was the right choice.
The problem was hot shotting Ryback to that program when it wasn't needed - even though Cena was injured, nobody wanted nor expected Ryback to take his place - WWE didn't need to choose between him and Punk, they back themselves into a corner for no reason.
Ryback has at least shown he can carry himself like a he's the man, and he's pretty damn good promo for today's standards. Having him dominate the midcard and let him develop was the easiest and simplest thing to do, but they fukked it up.
Now, as I've said on other threads, Ryback's biggest problem was his undefeated streak. Those things are a fukking pain in the ass to book and it seems that for whatever reasons, nobody's knows what to do with an undefeated guy after they eventually lose.

Skip was a victim of having the absolute dumbest luck when it came to booking and circumstance. Dude was probably the most over face that could actually seem like an actual threat for a title (ANY title).
PPV's coming up and Cena gets hurt, so they hot-shot Ryback into the title picture to make it interesting...BUT we know the Rock's coming back and is supposed to be working with Punk at Rumble so that fukks him over at Hell In a Cell (which would've been the perfect time to give him a run). They kept him looking strong though.
Cena's still hurt so they have to work Ryback/Punk without putting Ryback over. How do they stop themselves from putting Ryback over again? THE SHIELD.
So now it's Ryback Vs. Punk & The Shield. Problem: The Shield is fukking OVER and Reigns is looking like a monster. You'd figure that you'd get Ryback to go over Ambrose or Rollins at some point so they could at least book Ryback Vs. Reigns. NOPE! They just constantly son dude EVERY chance they get. No-go on going over The Shield....
Wasn't he going to work something with The Miz when Miz had the IC strap? Destroyed MizTV's set and everything. Never even got a shot....probably because he got hot-shot into the main when Cena got hurt.
The Mania match with Henry was his LAST possible chance to seem legit and at that point, they were probably having fun fukking him over. :wowwow:
I think there's ONE chance to salvage him with a little solo run and that's to have him finally get a piece of Reigns for all of those triple powerbombs or to go around picking individual Shield members off, but they're so over right now that he's bound to get the bushes again. Skip just can't win.

They're a great tag team. Axel's got moves on moves on moves, Ryback does a few big guy slams that wouldn't be enough as singles but as a team are perfect. They're two douchey bros who seem a little too fond of each other. It's like peanut butter and chocolate.

All they had to do was give RyBack the win at HIAC, then the next night on raw, have the shield or punk do some dirty ass shyt in the rematch to regain the belt. He wouldnt had lost clean and they could've still had their rock/punk feud while still keeping Ryback hot.
