So am I the lone Wu fan that thinks Rza is becoming more and more unbearable in a music capacity? I'll always tune in when it's him speaking publicly. He has that lock. But musically? I watched that awful movie Pacific Rim a few weeks back, on the heels of me being critical of Rza on here in some random thread, and no joke--i'm mulling over the Rza bashing i did, feeling a bit like a traitor to my homeland, and THIS song begins to play :

I defy the stanniest of stans to defend this.

N!gga, what the fvck are you expecting from songs intended for movie scores and to play at baseball games and tennis functions? Stop it. These aren't hip hop tracks. The man manufactured these tracks for specific audiences and he's making alot of money doing it. Let him cook. We've gone over this already. RZA has produced some really dope "hip hop" tracks over the last few years. I can easily post some of those if you like.

If we hear the RZA tracks for A Better Tomorrow, and them sh!ts are trash, I'll be the first to sh!t on the God. I've heard enough good sh!t from RZA over the last few years to have faith that he cooked up some good sh!t for the new Wu project.

indeed

im not feeling how RZA seems like he dumb his lyrics down. this is progress whether we choose to downplay or not, because RZA is consistently elevating himself. From the Gang Related tv show to this song being use for the Yankees. But you cant always come across as complex when you trying to appeal to people

Right. Him spitting some deep verse about 5% ideology or the philosophies of Confucius wouldn't be quite appropriate in a song like this. Sh!t like "we dance in the streets on New Years Eve" seems apropos.

:heh: fair enough but rae music in the last decade>>>>>>>>rzas

Doesn't make sense, mamba

Rae only makes only hip hop music. RZA creates music for movies, tv shows, sporting events, etc... can't really compare what RZA has done over the past decade, to what Rae has done in that past decade.

Rae last album considered classic/near classic had RZA's hand in it.

I probably can name 10-15 RZA produced hip hop joints from the past few years better than the 3 failed solos Rae has put out for his upcoming album.
