Domestic violence is OK. La rhumba is not.Whoa, dont be calling that trash. I like quite bit of Bobby Digital material but there is some..........I hit the skip button. "Domestic Violence" "La Rhumba"![]()
The rework of "Look of Love" What else do you have w/ Isaac, RZA? Why must you hoarde...![]()
strictly skills, he might be 2nd to Killa Sin. dudes flows are crazy
Did you see the link? It is upped. For the rest of the loose RZA tracks through history I will try to put in chronological order, just in case we have some people here who duck out at certain eras. I see you.MY MAN
I think he intentionally knew people weren't checking for his solo work. These were the REAL drug induced years, where he went completely zonked. He was always saying "This isn't my solo album" He even said that about "Birth of a Prince" That's the frustrating thing, RZA promised The Cure, this was Act II/Detox before they existed. Every single time he would come out he said "Nope, people aren't ready for The Cure" And then his core fans, "fukk you, you promised this would be out in 1999"Domestic violence is OK. La rhumba is not.
I'm surprised he had so many black Knight songs on here. Without holocaust I really didn't see the point of reason returning their calls. Rza is a good dude

Sounds unprofessional, a perfectionist and insecure. A bag of dats out a van? Did he have beef like that?I think he intentionally knew people weren't checking for his solo work. I think the other thing why so many people just crashed & burned who were with RZA, a lot of these people were so close to the streets. There was no way they could focus on a career in recording music. It is amazing that some of these people showed up for the studio.
There is the article that I think XXL made where RZA had this complex about being a mc and not getting his due. He went off on everyone & he even said "I'm as dope as Jay Z and people dont even know it" He even quotes lyrics from the cure & song ideas he has. It was a interesting article, it just just focused on his lyrical ability. Like RZA was always the Thelonius Monk of the flow style & when you have that particular style, you are kinda fukked as a mc, especially at that time. That's why I think Wu Tang members were so pissed off when RZA would go on his escapades of the solo mc. He would always say every solo project he released "this isn't my solo album, this is Bobby Digital" If you think about it, Bobby Digital was like Madlib's Quasimoto. It is clear he wanted to relive his B-Boy days of just styling on people with the suits & the style. Wu Tang felt like he owed them to stay a certain way but he was gone with the fukking pcp rolling around in a van.
I remember listening to Jarmusch when he tracked RZA down to score Ghostdog. He said it was the scariest shyt he ever had to go through. He said he had to talk to some associates (maybe Brooklyn ZOO or something like that) He said he would have these meetings with RZA and he would get these phone calls late at night, "meet me at" This black tinted out van would roll up in this sketchy area of NYC and RZA would pop out in a cloud of smoke out the van with a bag of d.a.t.s. And he just gave em tracks and Jim said "What do I do with these" And RZA was like, "Use em in the places you think that fit" That's how RZA scored his first fukking film. He would watch the film & then just create whatever expressed what he saw but he didn't have any interest in the scoring sequence of scenes. That was his first break in the movie business. Jim was probably dealing with Bobby & he had no fukking clue. lol
RZA spent half a million on a Bulletproof suit that he designed and he believed he was becoming a superhero from all that filming of Bobby scenes. It was like a Wu Tang version of Kick ass slowly playing out in real life. Wu Tang Family had to deal with that when RZA would go off the rails & into that van. I see why people were envious of RZA, he was like a shaolin version of low budget Bruce Wayne. lol
Black Knights is interesting now that John Frusciante is the main producer, he's pretty amazing at picking up the producing thing when his previous job was rock star guitarist for Red Hot Chili Peppers. He already recorded 3 albums with Black Knights. Black Knights met John because RZA is close friends with Frusciante. I can also see Frusciante & Black Knights getting better. Even without Holocaust & Dooom, they are pretty dope lyricists. And John, when people find out about HIM? So fukking talented & creative with production. That's part of the issue with Black Knights, very experimental now. I'm not sure if you heard their first 2 efforts they released with John.
Yea, Wu Tang associates a lot of them I feel could take out a lot of current artists today.
Fruciante actually gave the black knighta some heat. Check the rev burke/knights track in one of my posts. That songs dope.Sounds unprofessional, a perfectionist and insecure. A bag of dats out a van? Did he have beef like that?
And I'm sorry but without holocaust black Knights are just your average McS who need epic production to shine.
Is it true what they say about RZA getting him hooked on drugs. Met someone who said he was boys with caust and he was a certified mental patient
Donestiv violence 2 is wackDomestic violence is OK. La rhumba is not.
I'm surprised he had so many black Knight songs on here. Without holocaust I really didn't see the point of reason returning their calls. Rza is a good dude
