Recently ive been listening to ALOT of wu tang stuff, music that i listened to since i was 13/14 but didnt truely understand it all until i done some research through my late teens, im now 23 and its only now i can fully appreciate the lyrics on Wu-Tang Forever and alot of rza verses he drops 5 star jewels.

a few months ago i blazed a spliff, and listened to liquid swords and wu tang forever the whole way through and the standout verses on both albums were these rza gems for me. I was a rza fan from day one but alot of his lyrics flew over my head back in the days. when i heard these two tracks specifically, it blew my mind, the knowledge they dropped on songs was actually unbelievable and put together so cleanly and with style, this is the difference between wu tang and rappers now days. most guys think that dropping knowledge like this on tracks is corny or whatever but wu made it a fukking masterpiece.

rzas voice, flow and vocab on tracks were a classic every single time, it doesnt surprise me that he ended up doing movie scores.

liquid swords was a movie to me, and since hearing it under the influce of weed made me realise how deep the whole project was , rza made the wu what it was

I became a HUGE fan of RZA outside of music oddly enough. His interviews made me see he's an extremely intelligent brotha. He has had his moments on some records but more often than not I just don't feel him lyrically.:yeshrug: To me it just sounds like in his mind he's rushing to say so much but in real life speaks real slow. Plus, he got a lisp so damn strong that it'll have tweety-bird thinking she "Saw-Ah-Puddy-Kat!!!" :heh:

...He's like a fantastic director who's acted in local stage plays which he did alright in but that's only because he was an Extra with limited lines. Everything else artistic he does keep me like:gladbron: tho.

this is my type of thread. i've been nerding out over the 95-97 era wu material for the past decade and i still find ill shyt i never noticed before.
i blame their output in those years for turning me into insufferable dork.

RZA on "4th chamber" and "wu-gambinos" is some :ohhh: shyt every time.
man, i must have heard these wu albums a 100 times over and am still noticing new things everytime i hear it

like Duel of the iron mic when inspectah deck drops his verse, each line he spits is in time with the explosion samples in the background, small shyt like that i hear every now and then and it adds a whole new dynamic to the song. i wish motherfukkers had their ears wide open when they listened to this music. I showed my boys the rza verse on impossible recently and they just couldnt get over it, they had to listen to it 10 times before they understood the whole angle of that verse.

protons elections always cause explotions :ohhh:

RZA is hands down the most underrated member. Lot of people can't get past his voice/flow but the fukking lyrics :whew::ohlawd:

I stop producers careers, the weak spot was their ears
Scorpion darts hits their mark, pierce their heart with silver spears
You're bewildered, my unsaturated, low filtered
Devils still peeled it still they're living built tilted
MC's upon their axis, their body has a tactic
Lactic acid, desert drop cactus, practice
You can never master, it's invincible, Wu-Tang indispensable
One nation under God, indivisible
With liberty and justice, the mic is in my clutches
Thugs who bring ruckus, leave in crutches
Unforgiveable snakes face the double-edged swords starts to swivel
Decapitates the head, makes the projects, more livable
Interchangable, caution flameable
My chamber is ninety-nine plus one unnameable, angles
And strangles, microphone cords start to dangle
Silent as the gases that pass throughout your anal
We creep through your doors
Seep out like sweat through the pores
Destroy your internal organs with the biological warfare
