Don’t know if “blame” is the word but if their job is supposedly to inform their audience then what good is reviewing a product the audience will never touch?

Don’t know if “fault” is the right word. But the current review process leads to stupid stuff like this happening.
Ok, the developers shouldn't have given anybody any review codes until they fixed the bugs in the game.

For them to have a Day 0 patch, means that they knew the game they gave to reviewers ran like shyt.

Publishers NEED that day one marketing push.

A publisher that had more money/better relationship with reviewers/influencers would have had more options in getting the reviewers more updated code or even flying them out to review the game at better circumstances.

You guys keep searching for fault, so sure blame the publisher, but it’s more a symptom of a broken system than anything.

Seems like the fault of the publisher not reviewers :yeshrug:

reviewers have a job to inform potential buyers on the day of release of their experience with the game. If the game gets fixed after release than there’s no one else to blame
Game was fixed before release. Consumers never got a chance to see the version they wrote the reviews on.

I don't understand your argument. Reviewers can only review the game that they got.

You can fight the system but in this case the game is the game. (Even though the game isn't the released game 😁)

I hope that you enjoy it

Some larger reviewers held their score or final verdict until they had some time with the updated version.

That’s obviously the correct course of action. But reviewers need clicks for money too so they can’t afford to hold their reviews until after the initial 12 hours or so of hype.

My argument was in the first post. The game review process is more about hype/clicks/money than informing consumers.

Downloaded this on PC via Gamepss but I'm not touching until it's patched up more. Reading about too many bugs. I'll play it when it's actually done. :yeshrug:

There’s still reviews being added this week that claim its still buggy and other big issues like bad AI and mission structure

It’s not a microsoft published game.

Microsoft would have had the $ to fly out reviewers and get them a good version of the game
MS should have pushed for publishing.
The devs got a deal to launch on gamepass and released a mess of a game because they had too much leeway.
