Past two Illinois governors have gone to jailBreh, white politicians are getting it too, and have been for years. I'll admit it does seem a littlesince Kwame, Nagin, and now this joker have been on the news recently. However, don't forget, they nailed Blagojevich, Tom Anderson, and the cat from Ohio who's name is slipping me at the moment in recent years. I know Wiki isn't the most accurate information source, but they're a good reference for lists such as what this thread is about.

Thanks for the info. Kinda funny in a cynical way when you think about it considering how people look at the crime in Chicago. Its a given those same governors have debated publicly and initiated or supported ways to curb crime and inner city violence. Meanwhile, they're just as dirty. Link below states that 4 out of the last 7 governors of Illinois were convicted and imprisoned.

Naw....entrapment involves law enforcement explicitly pressuring or aggressively persuading someone to make an illegal decision, and often that involves one that is split second, or very quick in nature. Think of a undercover agent posing as a prostitute and approaching a man asking if he wants to pay for sex, and then arresting him immediately after when he says yes. Thats entrapment.
This mayor entered these deals with sound body and mind and was clearly in command, dictating terms and figures. Plus, and perhaps most importantly, this was a years long investigation, where the mayor clearly displayed a clear pattern of corruption. You'll notice that the article said "he never gave the money back"...had he simply reconsidered and said "no guys, after consideration, I dont think this is right or legal", he woulda been fine. Hes fukked.
