Only make your next album a sequel, living off the same name as the first one, if it's going to be good.

that, and the first one should be spectacular. GSNT was not

Just is a suck exec, who in the hell is DJ Corbett? dude should be blessing half of Sai's shyt himself and using his connections to get guys to fill out the rest. he did that on the first one, Kanye and Buckwild are 2 of the best. this was prod by no name bums

i like this album, but you can tell the production quality went down from the first. in my opinion, the beats are just okay, some good rather the 1st album to me was incredible. lyrically he was sharp on this, but i think the lukewarm reviews coming will make him seek out just blaze full time for the bulk of the beats on the next dolo.

This album is solid off of first listen.
I mean he has some really tough competition this year !

School boy Q ?
Ab-Soul ?
Kendrick lamar ?
Murs & Fashawn ?
Dizzy wright ?
Sean Price ?
Lupe Fiasco ?
Nas ?

And to be honest if I could come up on beats like this on sound click I'd be :eat:'in good.
The production really isn't as bad as people are saying the beats knock.
The flows are dope, the skillful rhyme weaving is still there.
The concepts have some played topics : Murdering black leaders, Reality versus how Rap portrays it, addressing misogyny in Hip Hop etc.

He does have some tracks that border on corny but other than that a well done album.

Big Biz is smoking crack. This album is real hip hop. Nothing wrong with the beats they just sound like they would come from the budget of a rapper whos new to the scene and its noticable being that one would expect a big budget sound coming after GSNT. To me they have that same low budget sound that 2pac chose for All Eyes On Me in 96. If GSNT came out in 2007 and this album came out in say 2009 it would still be dope. Let Me Run is the only song thats kinda eh! and that last track Rap vs Real Homegrown at the end is unnnecccessary, other then that the album is solid. There's a bunch of possible singles on this album. The album never gets boring, its more for people who are into Saigon then something that would reach new fans. This album is right on the same level as Warning Shots maybe even better then Warning Shots. A cool sequel to the first. Props to Saigon for atleast addressing the violence in the inner citys including Chicago and reminding people of how we should have reacted to Trayvon Martin. Lyrically this is what we'd all expect coming behind GSNT.

Saigon IMO never had "cheap" production on the Yardfather mixtapes. He was rhyming over Alchemist, EZ Elpee and shyt.

Thats the thing.....It wasnt cheap just low budget......There was low budget production on songs like "Abandon Nation" "My Life" and "Foot Locker Spot".......But the production wasnt the focus. It was the lyrics and execution. Its the same formula on this album yet the production has been singled out this go round. But thats all in the psyche because of the expectations coming from the previous album. Like I said aint nothing wrong with the beats.....To go that route is a reach. This album represents real Hip Hop and so far has a good playback feel. The Album is 4 mics at the most for lyrical content alone.

The song with Cham is :whew:

I dunno I mean a lot of people on here worship Chief Keef, Future and Gucci Mane. So I guess it all depends on what you like.
