Myself. fukk 12(1)!
I'm salaried and I generally work around 40-45 hrs/week. If I work any hours over 40, those hours are comped, so if I work, say 60 hours one week, I'll take 2.5 days off the next week and still get paid for those hours. My paid vacation is also great (almost 7 weeks paid vacation/year).

It works for me.

Depends on the amount of work you do and the how many days you work.

I know mangers that work 6 days a week and still do grunt work when they have to and still get paid less than the grunts themselves because of the overtime.

Most people just want title of manger because it makes them feel good about their life, me on the other hand Im not a fan of a stressful position thats not paying enough

I love how cats on here make retarded blanket statements regarding hourly vs salary
first of all , it depends on the nature of the work
if you are working in an office where its pretty much 9-5 and you like that atmosphere ( AC, computers, decent office bishes) and the salary is decent + benefits+ 401K or something sort of retirement savings and paid vacations and paid holidays than salary might be a good option ( I know it is for me)

Hourly, again if your hourly rate is great and it allows you get get benefits + buy into a 401K ( or retirement saving) and the rate allows you to make enough where you dont care if you dont get paid if you take holidays or sick time than hourly can work well for you

dont listen to simps who think they arrived because they make 8-15/hr selling sneakers in the mall

So brehs I got offered a job that is salaried. Never had one, mainly been hourly. Wanted see what yall think is better. And how do taxes work with salary
With salary the more you work the less your hourly wage.:: just do the math at the end of the week

There's benefits to both.

Im salary but i get straight pay for any time i work after 10 hours a day/4 days a week. I work 4 10s but usually end up working friday. Best of both worlds

I been “salary” for last 12 years. I don’t think I can go back to hourly. I take too many random breaks and have random appointments during the day or go to the corner store real quick :mjlol:

The Truth
Depends…

I’ve been salaried before… literally was worked like a slave. 12 hour shifts, calling me on my day off, etc. it has to be worth the pay

Hourly… it depends on how much you make an hour. 30+ is cool. Basically, you don’t go over your hours and if you do, you get your 1.5 your pay in overtime.

Either way you can make bank.

Salaried is a crap shoot depending on the field and the need. I know some IT brehs that as mentioned before can pretty much BS the whole day and get paid. Same dudes though be 48 hot when they have to work a whole weekend cause something went down or got hacked
