That doesnt prove anything :wtf:

Cuz Kdot can go platinum doesnt make void my statement u dumass smartdumb pathetic retarded Nas stan :wtf:

This net age and the age of extreme piracy is real and is now

Lets talk about the fact tht Kdot's album is the only rap album to head to platinum status nikka

Lets talk about the fact that Drake because of his album leak would then tweet " Listen enjoy it, buy it if u like it"

This is a reality breh breh face it

Answer me this...Are u just oblivious to the accesibility of pirated music
Are u oblivious to the amount of mufckaz u pass by in ur day to day life who have stolen music on their phone/ipods?
Are u oblivious to fact that buying a recently released album on Itunes has similar difficulty to just stealing the album?

These numbers are low for a reason and stop trying to weave ur whole "music aint as good as the early 90's" retarded discussion into this

This is unrelated..the infrastructure of this music shyt..and more specifically hip hop has changed how this shyt works..and quality aint the problem like ur desperately trying to portray...

STupid disgusting smartdumb fakket musically handicapped Nas stan:smugdraper::lawd:

Aye breh, you're right about those things, but the quality has gone down too. The budgets arent there anymore. Some guys drop albums that don't even sound mastered

:mindblown:

Plus you getting too emotional about it breh, chill.

Yup. I blame all the trash albums that dropped in the early 00s for rap consumers to lose trust in artists. Crazy how the likes of Cole, K Dot, and Wale sell the most.

:salute:

That early 2000s era of the "hustler" as artist was just a cash grab. Really destroyed my trust in most artists on their commercial release.

Great point that the most successful hip hop artists in the new generation are the ones who have at least some semblance of artistic credibility. In a way we should all be celebrating the trend. The days of hip hop music as a social welfare program is over.

Look, genres with passionate fanbases aint necessairly gonna be the ones buying CDs. Some do, some dont (Hard Rock and Hip Hop dont overall it seems). Just the nature of the times. Everyone can find shyt for free now, so its whatever. Even singles sales seemed cooked.

fukk even looking at Sales. Respect to kendrick for being the exception but he's the best rapper in the game right now anyway

touring is artist's bread and butter

yes, i'm talking about the label, catalog is their bread and butter. if the albums are not selling then what good does that do the label?

Time to go back to the roots. Tunnel type concerts, real MC skills, rugged beats, real life stories etc, you know, hip hop.
