First summer league game over a few thoughts:

Luke Kennard:Knocked down the open threes, has a good stroke.looked uncomfortable when he had to put the ball on the floor and make a move but he showed some playmaking ability.Wasn't a total lost cause on D.He looked better than I expected. But again this is against players that are a level below he'll see in the fall.

Ellenson is skilled as hell. His footwork, post moves and shot are all smooth as hell. Can put the ball on the floor better than expected too.Biggest thing with him is strength because he can't finish through contact consistently and he'll get abused by bigger 4's on D. But he impressed the hell out of me.He looks like a totally different player than he did last summer league. He's still slow as shyt though and like Kennard his defense is a issue .

Eric Moreland looked decent.Athletic. Battled on the boards and was active . looks like he might be a NBA level big as a third string 5 somewhere

Stan has to play these rooks man the east is open. Henry should get 12 minutes minimum a game along wih Stanley and kennard getting 15 plus. More if we let kcp walk

I know its only summer league but Kennard and Ellenson looked good. They have their faults but they can both get buckets. Kennard did not look bad on defense. Ellenson needs to bulk up and get stronger. Highly skilled offensively but too weak and he'll never be even an avg nba defender. Looks like a future center, not pf. I like the Moreland signing. He played well in summer league. Wouldn't surprise me if he ends up taking boban minutes next year. Decent size, high energy, shot blocker.

Still don't understand the galloway signing. Either kennard will be playing in grand rapids all year or they paid a 3rd string pg 7mil a year just because. With the hard cap, they have to have a deal in place to shed salary to match any offer over 16 mill for KCP. Makes sense to trade Leuer to make room for Ellenson in rotation.

This is bullshyt. You really traded Marcus Morris who's on one of the best contracts in the NBA to have the privilege to get older at SG for a rental? And we didn't even get a draft pick?

Avery is a tremendous value for Marcus Morris.

You lose kcp and try to move Marcus in the season you're definitely not getting a player Avery's caliber.

If we let Bradley walk, are we getting a player KCP caliber while being capped out?

Rich Paul may have bet and lost with KCP in FA. He seems to have no interest, other than Brooklyn and maybe one year deal with Lakers. I see no reason why Brooklyn would offer him max money when there is no one to bid against them.

Baynes bet on himself by opting out and lost $2 million. Last years FA period seems like a fluke.

It's because the cap didn't jump and with the way draft picks and contracts are valued he should have been trying to negotiate a fair deal now versus fighting for big long term money

I can't remember the last time a player this young expected to make a lot in the NBA fukked himself out of a check

He should have took the 80 million and forced his way to a destination he wanted versus really seeing if teams valued him so much. That lakers trade really set him up tho because without d loading the nets would have still had a terrible guard spot he could have got but with levert and Russell plus Jeremy Lin they don't have to give kcp 100 million when the Pistons don't even want to or need to
