I also one of the few people that like the soap opera effect when i'm watching TV. I was going to get a plasma TV until I found out that it doesn't have the soap opera effect. It just look more realistic to me.

I do turn it off when I am watching a movie on blu ray. It was making my eyes hurt for some reason.

It's nowhere near bad. I prefer gaming on a plasma. The picture quality shyts all over lcds.

one of my samsungs is plasma as well. copped that shyt cuz it was cheap and I only use it in my bedroom. only has 720p for a 40", but fukk it.

I had a Samsung plasma and had the screen burning problem. I watch sports on ESPN for hours at a time. When I change the channel, the ticker was still there for like 15 minutes

I upgraded to a Samsung LED after the left half of my plasma turned pink and haven't looked back since.

I googled it and apparently it is a very common issue

Also if you try and call Sammy customer service they hit you with a
