To those saying they're repetitive- What are the last 3 sandbox games you played? WD, GT5, GT4??

I'm asking because I disagree I still love these type games but I missed out on WD, only played a lil bit GTA5 So my last full length open world experience was with FC4, hhitman absolution, gt4 in that order

Nahh they are still fun especially WD :takedat:

Game is too fun with a ton to do most people just use to running and gunning .

Watch dogs requires a little bit of creative thinking and if you arent up to the task you'll be frustrated .

With that said the game that has my attention the most is king oddball :pachaha:

Little 6.99 strategy/ physics game its just :wow:

GTA as a series always been overrated. IMHO. People just like the idea of violent edition of the sims essentially. But sandbox games are the worst. They think if we give you hella options that equals fun. People have been fooled to think these games are great because it lets you do the most trivial task that you don't even want to do in real life. They have to reinvent GTA or its going to fail soon, its living of its rep right now.

shut up

I like sandbox game but what I hate is when they only give you 60% of the missions when you buy the game and sell you the other 40% as "DLC"... I really hate that shyt.

That's probably why I love Saints Row IV cause I just be flying around the city raising hell with my superpowers for hours and have fun, that game deserves more love.

it doesnt seem like any game can do a sandbox correctly.

i want a sandbox thats dense like watchdogs, with the scale of gta, driving like driveclub, fighting like arkham games, cinematic missions like uncharted, storyline like last of us, shooting like max payne games, graphics of infamous ss, dialogue options like walking dead, paragon/heel options like mass effect :ohlawd:

Sandbox games need more variety in the enviroment you are playing in. Like in GTA we should be seeing seasons change, seasonal events, gameplay changes due to that. Just pumping in new DLC content won't help. Things need to be expansive.

To further expand, lets take GTA for example, we could use the destruction technology used in BF to alter how things worked in GTA, even tie that in with missions. Missions blowing up buildings or causing damage which would cause an effect in gameplay for others (Like they could have done heists in a way for GTA 5 where if someone robbed a place it would affect the stock for others invested in it). Or actually putting in newer cities to travel to like an MMO. Like GTA 5 could have a modern version of Vice City or Liberty City with their own additions/benefits to messing around in their cities, but add some shyt into Los Santos so it gives people a reason to come back to it or stay there. Concerning a fix for the destruction, have the game reset it's servers every day or so that way it dosen't become too bothersome and people get a different chance at causing waves.

lol you asking for too much outta 1 game...all the shyt you asking for is specialized shyt in different games....if a company did try to make a game like that, it would probably be too expensive to finish and never see the light of day...

I'm paying money for these games, I expect something that other games have done.

GTA has done it, Elder Scrolls/Fallout has done it, Even their Assassin's Creed series has done it.

Too me this game is not top quality for what it was hyped up to be. It's an average game with a great take on a new way to interact on the environment. There are way to many flaws and dull moments to call this a top quality game.

come on man, you're judging the first entry of a franchise to established franchises...they didn't get everything right in the first game of those series you mentioned either, but did that mean those first games sucked and they should've started completely over? no....they made better games as the franchises went on, which I think the same shyt is gonna happen to watch dogs....

Maybe I did came off as too harsh because I don't think the game is trash or horrible by any stretch of the imagination. The environmental interaction is great and leads to very fun gameplay. But at the same time, this reminds me of the first Assassin's Creed game. It was a gem with a bunch of rough edges that they definitely improved on greatly in the sequel.

It's just learning experiences such as that would lead me to believe that they'd be able to do more despite it being a new IP. But if this is comparable to the Assassin's Creed series, this definitely does have the foundation to be another money making franchise.

But like I said I don't think the game is trash, it just wasn't the Game of the Year lock it was hyped up to be.

yeah, its hard but not impossible.

and they spent half a billion on destiny :stopitslime: thats cheaper than it cost to develop infamous ss, gta v, driveclub, batman AND uncharted.
