yeah, its hard but not impossible.
and they spent half a billion on destinythats cheaper than it cost to develop infamous ss, gta v, driveclub, batman AND uncharted.
lol that half a billion isn't just for 1 game...that's for the whole franchise....

i dont know why you make excuses for these devs trying to make their bottom linelol that half a billion isn't just for 1 game...that's for the whole franchise....
i understand small companies cant produce something of that scale w/o going bankrupt. but larger companies that have the resources yet spend more on marketing are the only reason its not happening. But you just can't throw money at the game at make it create itself. It would take pretty powerful hardware to create and run a game engine that could handle the shooting, driving, dialogue, and graphical detail that you're asking for.i dont know why you make excuses for these devs trying to make their bottom linei understand small companies cant produce something of that scale w/o going bankrupt. but larger companies that have the resources yet spend more on marketing are the only reason its not happening.
the whole thing is a joke. games dont require a lot of markettng, the work will speak for itself.
arkham city seems to already have more of that than not, its not as hard as you guys are making itBut you just can't throw money at the game at make it create itself. This would take years upon years to create and by the time it would be close to completion, we'd be scrapping this generation of consoles.

instead of devs pumping out 5 yrs of military space shooters, i do believe we'll get a few gems like this in the upcoming future.
There isn't a lick of driving or shooting in Arkham City. There weren't any dialogue options and the game was linear and had a single ending. I don't get your point.lol how am I making excuses by pointing out that half a billion is for the whole franchise, not just 1 game?....
also, you underestimating the work that goes into these games to specialize something like the fighting of the arkham series, the choices in mass effect, the cinematic missions of uncharted, etc., and make it a memorable product....i mean, those games arent the first to do things like you mentioned, but it's a reason those games are known for those things....those are the things the devs focused on for those particular games and they put out damn good products...
...what it sounds like to me is you want a perfect game...there is technically no such thing....so i'd rather devs focus and specialize on 1 or 2 things for a game to keep putting out damn good products, rather than trying to be a master of everything and put out mediocre games....

whats stopping devs from making joint efforts like tales from borderlands? and nah, the perfect game is something like no mans sky + mass effect + dead space mixed together![]()
But I can promise you the driving won't be anywhere comparable to a racing sim like Driveclub or Forza. The story in all likely-hood will still be linear with no dialogue options and of course the fighting mechanics will be great, that the focus of the developers of the franchise.i meant arkham knight*
good graphics, good story, driving, open world, great fighting mechanics. we still dont know how the missions will be. i assume its going to be a lot more varied than before.
the same thing that's stopping fox, sony, and marvel movie studios from including marvel characters in crossover movies: money...companies don't want to share profits...
sony, fox, and marvel will pull their heads out of their asses eventuallyfair enough but its still possible. But I can promise you the driving won't be anywhere comparable to a racing sim like Driveclub or Forza.
