This is true and actually a recent event. You go back to say the 70s or 60 and before and the thought was that you found a mate in college or highschool. Not only that for anyone who has black family in the deep south rural areas. The thought is even today that you should get married. Even if you have children out of wedlock.
Tell kats all the time.......if you going to college and not looking for a mate you hustling backwards. Cause there will be no other time in your life were to will see single folks your age doing positive shyt to better themselves. Plus have time to date and get to know them (easy as hell to find out info on them quickly).
Try that shyt as a professional spending 10 hours a day working and driving to work. Not to mention it will take you 6 months to truely know a person because you really don't have time to be around them.

Truth. Their parents ain't got no shame to tell them I expect you to get married. Not only that they teach them how to hunt down a mate. They will say so suzzie you like that boy. Why don't you change your major so you can be in all the classes he is in as well. That way you have a better chance at getting him.
