Shimmer, the old school knockouts and further back Luna and Sherri all deserve credit as far as women being taken seriously in the U.S. but not only them.
Chyna's impact as a woman in wrestling is being severely overlooked.
Chyna got really big as a woman who fought men and women, her impact and influence is just being pushed aside and forgotten about. She wasn't great in the ring but they put time and effort into presenting her like a big deal and she got over as a baby face.
If you want to talk about female empowerment Chyna was the chick who 100 percent represented that back in the day. I'm not talking about her personal life.
On screen she was a larger than life type role model for young girls, she was the embodiment of a strong female character.
WWE just wanted to start marketing the words "women's revolution" but there's history before that. Other women are purposely not being mentioned.
