Shimmer, the old school knockouts and further back Luna and Sherri all deserve credit as far as women being taken seriously in the U.S. but not only them.

Chyna's impact as a woman in wrestling is being severely overlooked.

Chyna got really big as a woman who fought men and women, her impact and influence is just being pushed aside and forgotten about. She wasn't great in the ring but they put time and effort into presenting her like a big deal and she got over as a baby face.

If you want to talk about female empowerment Chyna was the chick who 100 percent represented that back in the day. I'm not talking about her personal life.

On screen she was a larger than life type role model for young girls, she was the embodiment of a strong female character.

WWE just wanted to start marketing the words "women's revolution" but there's history before that. Other women are purposely not being mentioned.

This "revolution" is only the "revolution" it is to people who have never watched TNA or Shimmer. I love Sasha but I'm not sure how much she wrestled outside of New England before WWE scooped her up so maybe she never watched anything but WWE/Eddie Guerrero matches.

agreed but I don't even know what shimmer is or if it even exists anymore

so to a huge majority of the casuals that watch wrestling the revolution is the E's

but then again the one that wins writes the history :sas2:

Think female ROH and you get SHIMMER basically Kong, Ember Moon, Beth, Emma, Becky, Nattie and Peyton Royce have all been there at some point.

Philly. Fucc a Eagle. I mean dat.
That headbangers match is gonna be lit as fukk. apparently they've been working on it at house shows and Mosh has been pulling off Phoenix splashes and the finish has been as a springboard 450. If they execute their spots right it should be a MOTYC.

Luna don't have anything with it...Medusa mattered though. No doubt about that and fans were very into Chyna, Lita, and Trish.

Mickie was on fire in 05 and 07 above Trish, Lita, and everyone else. She was the heel getting cheers every week after WM 22. She didn't even really turn face...they just had Lita and Edge cheat her in her hometown and she was presented as a face from that point forward. They kept trying to push Melina, Beth, and Kelly Kelly on her level but fans never got behind them like Mickie.

I guess I was speaking more so of Luna's work prior to WWE. Don't know why I forgot about Alundra Blaze.

Mickie for sure deserved more love back in the day. The history of a sort of revolution is seemingly jumbled up because they straight up refuse to properly acknowledge the influence of others on a proper scale chronologically. It was a group effort of several women throughout history more than anything.
