That's just not true. :heh:

These are no "wrasslin'" rags.

Yeah, not knowing her, specifically, I think this is probably what's most likely.

I actually think the CM Punk route is what's most likely for her.

Now, I don't think she'll be doing MMA, but she'll probably do some passion project (indie movie, indie album, maybe wrassle in a few indies or Japan) and mostly stay low-key for some years.

I haven't heard her say she wants to take over Hollywood or music, or whatever.

I could just imagine a world in which she just goes home for a while and emerges when she needs some money or after Vince is long gone from WWE.
Lol, yeah you posting articles doesnt stop wreatling from being niche. It doesnt change the fact that she atill isnt a crossover auperstar.

She's not 'just a women's wrestler' that's pure hatred.. she was the most over woman on the roster with the most crossover potential along with maybe Bianca at some point.

Her segments routinely outdrew the men's. That's not hyperbole.. the numbers are there. All that said... who said she wants to do acting full time and leave wrestling?

Not really sure AEW would be a great place with how they are with the women but she probably will want to wrestle somewhere.

Do i believe she'd move the needle for AEW? Not really sure because they have fallen in love with midgets who don't draw.
Bianca is doing alright but she was never top 5 most over females of the generation. There is no one like Sasha Bankes. Doing it all before 30.

Since the division would definitely revolve around her if she signed.

Britt Baker is begging her to come over...she was the first to respond to this whole situation.
She’s jobbing to Britt before the end of the year.
And, to no one's surprise, I was correct.

I mean these are placed articles based on WWE press releases. They’re not organically being covered.

I think people are seriously overestimating how much Ronda matters. I think the vast majority of people that eecognize the name outside of ufc fans don’t even know she’s a wrestler now. If Sasha is released it won’t matter as the WWE is set up in such a way where the brand is bigger than any individual wrestler.

You all don't seem to know the difference between star power and star potential. The Rock has star power, Sasha Banks has star potential.

Sasha Banks can't even cut a decent promo so any talk of it being a foregone conclusion that she is going to take over Hollywood is just delusional stanning.

I mean let me ask you all something; you ever heard of this guy named Stone Cold Steve Austin? Pretty big player in wrestling about 20 years ago. At his PEAK, which was also WWE's peak, he was their biggest star and ultimately the biggest star in wrestling. He did a number of events, appearances, guest spots and I think even a movie or two. He did not become a huge Hollywood star.

The Rock was his peer. Pretty much just as popular during the same time period and arguably the most charismatic wrestler and best on the mic of ALL TIME. It took the Rock a few years before he got his footing in Hollywood.

Stone Cold and the Rock were all time greats and in their prime when WWE was embedded in popular culture and one never made the transition to Hollywood and the other took awhile to catch on. Sasha Banks is a great women's wrestler but so are Charlotte Flair and Bayley and they can both cut better promos than Banks even though Banks has more charisma than both combined. Still, that's not enough to be any more than a bit player in Hollywood. A lot of her connections came from being a top WWE star. Will those relationships hold if she parts ways?

She's been in the Mandalorian and has done a lot of PR and appearances while in WWE. The Miz has been in a movie and does tons of PR as well. What has she done besides the Mandalorian? Is there anything else in the pipeline? She has potential to be something in Hollywood but it's not a foregone conclusion. People with more on their minds than "would drink Sasha's bath water" are ultimately going to be making those decisions. We'll see what happens one way or another.

Also I don't know if AEW is a good idea for her. If she really wants to be a major crossover star she should just focus on strengthening her existing connections and do more networking with guys like Rock, Cena and Batista who have made the transition already. I don't see AEW handling her in a way that will produce the type of profile and image she is looking to attain.
not to derail the thread, do you think Belair could be a bigger star than Banks?
I just started watching wresting and Belair seems to have a pretty strong movement compared to how long she's been in the industry.

It's also like people don't realize that CNN and People didn't just wake up and say 'Hey let's cover this!' They got contacted by WWE's marketing/outreach/PR department because this is a good look for the company. They do the same for any other star if they think they can penetrate the wider market. It was a good story, it was syndicated, yes its indicative of their star power but its not like these outlets were just following Sasha/Naomi/Bianca. WWE facilitated this and they bit (which is great to their credit) but its not the same thing as being an organic draw.

And I like all 3 women, I just don't want to exaggerate here.

Yes she can if she wanted to. Nobody knows the future but she has potential and the look.

I am a huge Banks fan but WWE is right when they say Sasha Banks is replaceable. She was not on any John Cena, The Rock, Hogan, Austin, Brock, Etc level. That is only because of how they book the women in which they are second fiddle most of the time. This is why she constantly went out of her way to do her own promotional things to get herself attention. She had all the tools to be in that list but WWE did not strap a rocket on her back and treat her booking like Charlotte.

I truly believe she is. She comes off as more relatable with her background and a lot of young black girls love the hair gimmick.

With Sasha, there is still an air of nepotism of how she got there. She’s still a great talent but that isn’t what got her there to begin with.

what the fucc? Sasha grew up poor and barely had any type of relationship with Snoop at the time. She wrestled in small little indies and went to a WWE camp where they offered her an NXT deal.

No roads were paved for her.

I didn’t start the thread, update the title, nor has the most posts in the thread. Max chooses to mention me the most because he respects me most. His respect (and yours) doesn’t mean anything, though. This thread doesn’t have shyt to do with AEW. Max attempted to steer the subject that way, and you’re currently following the lead. I believe any wrestler that wants out should be able to get out. They aren’t employees, and the contracts are basically toilet paper, so the company should save the time and effort. You should be grateful I gave you a serious response and move on with the actual topic.
"Max respects me" is embarassing breh

Nah, Sasha got it out the mud, just cause Snoop and Brandy & Ray J were relatives, doesn’t mean they had anything do with her getting into WWE.

Nah, like others have mentioned, Sasha got it out the mud. No shortcuts or anything.

Though, I do agree with the first part of this statement. Don’t get me wrong, I love Sasha, but I feel like Bianca has an aura that Sasha never really had. Bianca truly gives me that John Cena-vibe.
