She had no business taking the whole savings and doing what she pleased. No excuse.... No woman can convince a sane man otherwise. That woman overstepped her boundaries. You can argue all you want, but that's just the facts. She doesn't need to be married if she is going to do that ..

Breh you don't even need to comment to that person cause shyt is stupid. How the fukk you spend all the savings and not even ask. shyt dude could get laid off the next day and they are up shyt creek.

No marriage counselor would ok doing that shyt without speaking to the spouse first. The shyt is like taking all the money in the bank and buying a business without speaking to your spouse first.

I wanna have my own judge TV show for moments like this.

I would find that we put a blindfold on her and he gets to kick her in the ass one good time, and then they have to stay married and never speak of this matter again.

Have joint accounts brehs:mjgrin:

Lie and say she put 5k instead of her paying on her debt brehs:mjgrin:

Share that girl and have her deplete your savings passing your dough to another nikka in the name of student loans brehs:mjgrin:

This is the first post in this thread made by an adult.

Anyone who knows how to manage money knows that you lose money when cash is sitting in a savings account when you also have high interest debt like student loans. Her students loans belong to both of them. This 100% should’ve been discussed with her husband before paying the student loans, but this was perhaps the most fiscally responsible thing she could’ve done.

Also, I’m havig a hard time believing that the wife only contributed 5k. If she was paying bills (rent utilities etc) and therefore freeing up money for him to put into the savings account then that counts. I have a similar arrangement with my hubby. He saves his check and I use mine to pay all the bills.

Again, she should’ve spoken to hubby about the money before taking action to pay down the debts, but this isn’t something you divorce for. If he believes she’s cheating or spending money recklessly then that’s a different issue.

I see.

Question: What if you came into a marriage with 20 racks saved, you built it up to 45 by yourself in your joint account or whatever, and he added 5 racks to it and then spent the whole grip to pay off his student loans just as the chick in the OP's hypothetical did. Didn't talk to you about it. Just did it.

You still believe what's his is yours and vice versa? You believe his student loans are yours too?

I wouldn't even be bad, I would just be shocked. This is definitely divorce worthy.
