Them Lo Lifes...
Damn, that DOES change things. Was she wrong? Morally, yes, but technically.......:patrice:
Yep. Technically as well. If you are partners. Shyt do3snt allow you to be deceitful, to fulfill YOUR personal financial oblgations based on marriage vows.

She never informed him, nor discussed far as we know THEM paying back HER school loans.

Emergency fund >matched 401K > Roth IRA > bills >debt (including student loans)

Always pay yourself first. I wouldn't even count the retirement because that is usually pretax, but with the net pay, pay yourself first.

Correct. @Rawtid @Thomas

Follow this model (Step 1-4 mainly)

Exactly.

I highly doubt she spent ALL that on student loans. She probably put something on it, but some nikka got some stacks, or a nice down payment on a whip
It’s not in a woman’s nature to be fully responsible.

It wasn’t smart to pay it off anyways. After x of amounts depending on your profession, you can have your debt discharged.

The signs should’ve been there from the start.. this can’t be the first incident.

I had a joint account with my lady. She messed her phone up and was suppose to go get it repair. She ended up scrapping that idea altogether and just instead brought a new iPhone for full retail and still had to continue paying off the old phone:francis:.
I ain’t even argue. I just closed out the account and we got separate accounts. It was a lesson learned. I’m happy it happened early on in the relationship before I started making real money.

Wow. Thats some serious betrayal. She's proven herself to be untrustworthy. Divorce her. Hopefully he can use that as a way to sway a judge so she gets nothing since he already paid her major debt off.

Unfortunately, his mistake was allowing her any type of access to that particular account.

This is why marriage is a muh'

People are straight up making up facts (She didn't spend it all, she probably saved up half of it)
