This man was raised in a rural Nigerian village in the colonial 40s and somehow rose to graduating from college in Canada before fighting in the Nigerian civil war where he was shot in the leg, before starting a business that's lasted 40 years and still ticking. My over privileged self would have no words to comfort such a man anyway.
