Unless there's a game, I literally never watch ESPN now.

The personalities were good when it was a small part of the overall presentation.
Craig Kilborn and Stuart Scott were just naturally allowing their personalities to shine thru in their broadcasts. But it was never a forced gimmick the way it is with the screaming SAS or the pugnacious Skip Bayless.
When you watched ESPN, you just wanted the highlights.

Now ESPN is just the Cable News of sports, which is to say opinion shows and Cola Wars (I think X team is better. I think Y team is better. Thank you, that's all the time we have. See you next time)



That's the downfall of their product.
But that's not the reason for the cuts. They just negotiated terrible contracts with the NFL and NBA.
ESPN will survive and will probably renegotiate better contracts in the future. But it'll never be a particularly "watchable" channel.

exactly. cut the 10 hours of sportscenter a day and do a damn mini 30 for 30 every fukking week. And if its not a live MAJOR sporting event or original programming, get rid of it.

Dont wanna see SAS yelling all morning and don't wanna see those PTI fukkers debating bullshyt at 5:30. Fans are more connected to athletes thru social media and the on air personalties are annoying as fukk.

When Lavar Ball is a higher draw than your whole on air roster, the ship is going down fast. ESPN News is pointless and so is ESPN2 if theres no live game on. If they are gonna bother to hire athletes to be on air, at least get ones who can convince current players to do some exclusive interviews or something.

Having Lil Wayne and Rae Sremmurd on air is corny as fukk and pandering. Get these lame music artists off the damn network if they arent singing and rapping.

They need to start showing more sports outside of the big 3

Back in the day i used to be high and end up watching shyt like pool or darts or bowling and would actually get into that shyt

They need more variety not less

More sports,less original programming

We don't need 12 sportcenters a day especially when you have espn news

We don't need 10 different opinionated shows talking about the same topics everyday

And they need to leave the politics and off the field shyt alone

Mike and Mike was a staple of my early morning sports feed. One of the shows I actually liked (ESPN Radio > ESPN TV). Not sure why they're getting rid of Golic
