My thing is, with all of the money they have at their disposal, why cant they hire people that are likable. Nobody on the planet turns on ESPN for Mad Dog Russo or Kendrick Perkins but they are on marquee shows. I dont get it.

I bet they kiss ass and never say no to the company. And they will accept any deal espn offer them

I would think the entertainment TV side of Disney is what’s losing money (Hulu, ABC, Disney+).

Live sports is where it’s at and looks like they’re winning on that side for the most part.

Not true at all. There are a$$holes around the world (like myself) that legitimately enjoy big perk and mad dog more than likeable corny dudes like Dan Orlovsky and the even cornier brother that wears that stupid frohawk I can't think of his name.

I wonder where he got a billion+ from. Sounds like a reach. All those people that left didn't just leave for more money. They also wanted more flexibility in what they could do. Pat McAfee is an a$$hole that thinks he runs the company but one thing he won't do is conduct thorough investigations of league partners. Especially ones that'll cause internal dissension. Besides Colin, most of the guys named would've called them out in some manner.

Slap a ESPN tag on those Ringer podcasts and let BS/Grantland run them like he wanted to back then you could see where Pablo is coming from. Pablo just licensed his podcast for probably a few million.

Slap a ESPN tag on those Ringer podcasts and let BS/Grantland run them like he wanted to back then you could see where Pablo is coming from. Pablo just licensed his podcast for probably a few million.

Right. Ain’t nobody out here pressed to hear any of these guys. I was a huge Lebatard guy but after a while , he just became background noise. I’m still trying to figure out what makes Rusillo appealing. He’s just another name dropping blowhard. And Simmons in some ways is becoming white Stephen A. This mf watched one half of a preseason Pats game and said TreyVeon Henderson is Jahmyr Gibbs. The same Henderson who couldn’t stay healthy and that OSU went out and get Judkins cause of it.

Most national analysts regurgitate what their producers tell'em and only watch highlights.

Very few actually watch the games and know wtf is up...
