It was soo productive, because encouraging violently attacking other minorities worked out so well for the los angeles negroe didn't it? :pachaha:Maybe if you're generation was more focused on education & ownership than scapegoating & bullying you wouldnt be getting run out of town by esses right now :umad:

The song (Black Korea) was a response to Latasha Harlins getting killed by Korean store owner.. While I don't necessarily agree with the lyrics, I understand the anger in the song.. Alot of sh-t was going on in LA at that time.

It's a complete different ball game now and there's literally zero denying it...like absolute zero denying..especially what happened to RnB..shyt is a complete joke now..it's damn near extinct..

Theres stilll tons and tons of good hip hop coming out and people 'keeping it real' all over the place. Maybe it's just out here :yeshrug:

would have repped you for this, great post.
really? dumbass the cacs are on top making "hip hop" while we still at the bottom, we need to get away from the bullshyt trap/drake singy bullshyt and actually start rappin again. otherwise cacs gonna continue to dominate(and to make it worse these cacs are just rappity rappin with no plot or driving topic of descrimination..)

:russ: but he's finding that in country and rock?

I get that's he's a respected artist from the 90's, and "bytching about hip hop" is pretty much an official Element of Hip Hop...and that jaded cliched stuff like this will always find a welcoming ear on messegeboards....it's his opinion and all, but doesn't it actually have to make sense at some point and hold up to reality...or nah?

Like...literally the most mainstream rap music there is right now has that type of sh!t in SPADES in compared to rock and country...here are the top 10 selling rap albums of the most recent year

02 - 1,727,000 - THE MARSHALL MATHERS LP 2 - Eminem
07 - 1,344,000 - NOTHING WAS THE SAME - Drake
10 - 1,099,000 - MAGNA CARTA...HOLY GRAIL - Jay-Z
13 - 1,018,000 - THE HEIST - Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
28 - 656,000 - BORN SINNER - J Cole
29 - 626,000 - YEEZUS - Kanye West
34 - 587,000 - I AM NOT A HUMAN BEING II - Lil Wayne
40 - 542,000 - GOOD KID M.A.A.D CITY - Kendrick Lamar
55 - 443,000 - LONG.LIVE.A$AP - A$AP Rocky
78 - 343,000 - THE GIFTED - Wale

From this list alone you have music that speaks on everything from the ills of the prison industrial complex to coming to grips with homophobia to the effects of gang violence on inner city youth to how promiscuity often times has roots in emotional abuse to the ill effects of unchecked capitalism to america's history of exploiting it's poor...and etc. etc....what popular country and rock acts are doing this more than hip hop? :dwillhuh: And mind you, these are just the top 10 MOST POPULAR rap albums...not even considering a vast undergound scene...where is all this "brilliant" social commentary in mainstream country and rock?
why the fukk nikkas aint on top then...

You can say about the NY rappers, too. Talking about hustling and not owning anything, only for CACs to out-price you in just 2 decades later. Problem was, they got rid of the intelligent socially conscious MC for the street bullshyt rapper with flashy rhymes.

Another tired Cam joke.. Nobody's mad here kid. I just don't debate with A.trolls, b.white women, or c.nikkas born in 1999. in regards to hip hop music and culture. Clearly from your garbage posting history. You fit one of the criteria

Clearly rappers need to write more songs about getting pissy drunk off the "Good stuff" so they can take their "girl" to the "creek" and drive around with the windows down in their "ford".

Wait... country? Of all the genres to pick :scusthov:
He's right, country may not be formatted for our ears. But even the songs they got on country radio deal with love, struggle, and just relatable topics.

Turn on rap radio it's "fukk some more" " lick the middle like an Oreo" "Shake it like a red nose" "ride that surfboard" "my hittas". There's no range in subject matter , if it ain't about fukkin or turning up it gets no burn
