Pac was not a wild guy until after Juice this is a common fact. Everyone from that era says the same thing. Hell, he even said he tried selling drugs for one day and the local hustlers told him it wasn't for him. He wasn't a punk but he wasn't a gangster.

As I've stated in another thread, Pac spent the majority of his adult life in the studio, jail, or on a movie set. His legend grew after he passed. Great artist, and very influential, but not a rebel or revolutionary.

Shock G Vibe interview:

http://www.vibe.com/2011/06/shock-g-reflects-tupacs-legacy-breaks-down-his-classic-records/

"This was also 2Pac’s introduction to the public. But there’s one misconception that I want to clear up. Pac was never a Digital Underground dancer. He was our roadie. And out of all the roadies we ever had, he was the best. You never lost anything on his watch. The only thing you could say about Pac was how WILD he was. It was later that he started performing onstage with us. Pac would probably get us arrested in every other city because he would pop shyt at the police quick [laughs].

Sometimes he would get us in unnecessary fights. He would never back down even if he were in the wrong. But if they were fukking with us and we were innocent, which happened most of the time, we would support 2Pac 100 percent. But a lot of times he was just wrong [laughs]. Our first meeting with 2Pac was set up through Antron. He wanted me to be the ears for him and tell him whether or not he should sign Pac. From there, 2Pac became our label mate. He had presence when he rhymed. But Pac began to become restless so Antron called me in a panic and asked if we could take him on tour with us because he had a feeling that he was losing him. He just got offered a position with the Black Liberation Army at this college in Atlanta
."

That's before Juice, mayne:sas2:

First off..Pac was always wild...BEFORE Juice...Second...he maintained he wasn't a gangster until the day he died...no one is even argueing that...but he was a wild nikka wit alotta heart...period...nikka had a rebel and revolutionary mindstate...he just wasn't mature enough to have it all the way together...regular nikkas ain't goin out shootin white cops tryna defend a black man they don't know...regular nikkas don't record every police interaction they see involving a black man...regular nikkas didn't deal wit the FBI since they was little kids...the nikka did speeches...he did events...helped any kid he can that was in need...used his own house to store people who didn't have homes or have a place to go...nikka wasn't perfect by any means but the nikka was dead by the time he hit 25..u think Pac wouldn't have been on the frontlines of all these protests?..Mike Brown?..Eric Garner?..etc etc...Pac possessed a lot of leader qualities...he just didn't have the wisdom that comes with age...

Site your sources, breh......Shock G & Money B both said Pac was wild BEFORE the fame/juice.

Y'all take footage of a 17 yr old trying to talk ultra articulate and say----"seeeee, he's soft!!:gladbron:"

That's shallow to me.

Fukk outta here.....I just broke down the nikkaz roots, but you wanna talk about people he met 20 yrs into his life.

my nikka this just shows you dont know fukk shyt about 2Pac.

The 2Pac in that video when he was 17 is not the same 2Pac we know. To even dispute this deems you a liar.

Further, heres an interview with Khalil Kain to prove my point.

Ill take his words and videotaped footage of 2Pac at 17 vs 2Pac at 25 over the words of a stan anyday.

I love Pac but lets not try to rewrite history:steven:

Lot of idiots in this thread. Anyone that knew Pac knew he was a real dude.

Talking about he was never that way before Juice? Yet you got Shock G telling you Pac was WILD from day 1. Face, a certified nut, overly vouched for him.

Who, from Pacs era that knew him said he was fake? Lots of OG's have done nothing but vouched for him.

The entire industry was shook at him. King of NY was deathly afraid and wouldn't even mention his name when he got dissed worse than anyone in the history of hip hop.

He was constantly hounded by cops, went to prison for a crime he didn't commit, busted caps at the pigs etc.

He was like 20/21 when Juice came out, lots of cats are wildin at that age. Just because he did a movie at that time does not mean he was a perfect angel fronting with this image that he serendipitously discovered while reading the script. Correlation does not equal causation.

So please stop trying to rewrite history, most of the cats saying this shyt were probably swimming in their daddy's nuts when Pac passed.

City of Angels :blessed:
People forget Pac DIED at 25.. so most of this "wild" shyt he did was in his early 20s. Who cares if he wasn't a "thug" his whole life? People are influenced by their surroundings. Ain't a nikka on here that ain't walked, talked, acted or dressed a certain way, ESPECIALLY in the early stages of their life, because of what was going on around them. If Jay-Z the 45 year old millionaire went face to face with Jay-Z the 22 year old crack dealer he'd probably not even recognize him. Pac never got the chance to get that far in life but to try to judge him cause of how he lived when he was still a youth or young man is fukking retarded.

So in your mind, people don't change huh? Everyone is the exact same throughout their life, regardless of what they've been through?

I knew tons of fools from high school that never really got into trouble and then a year later when they out on their own, they wild the fukk out. Jail, DUI's, drugs...turn into complete fukk ups.

I guess they must have watched Juice and emulated that lifestyle :mjlol:

I doubt any of them nikkaz who played in Juice really knew Pac like that BEFORE Juice----Only dude who did was Treach....and I've never heard Treach EVER..ever ever ever...Question the thorough'ness of Pac---ever

The exact opposite really. This "Juice made Pac wild" narrative is nothing more than a flair for the dramatics. It makes for a good story/headline.

I'll take Shock G/Money B's word over Khalil Kains anyday

nikka Khalil Kain was his COWORKER...he didnt know him well at all...then add to the fact that nikka Khalil was like 10 years older than everybody in that movie..funny thing about it..is Pac got into situations on the set of that movie as well..as u see..the only nikkas who try to front like Pac was pretendin was the nikkas he WORKED wit..not nikkas who fukk wit him on a street level or his day one's...Pac was a wild nikka even during that 1st video...he looked at things a alot differently don't get me wrong..but he was frontin for the camera a lil bit cause that was for a school project...what was he supposed to act like in a school video?...like I said..those close to Pac knows he was a wild hard headed nikka...to the point where some nikkas felt he was annoying..

There's no doubt that Pac got way extra after Juice. We can debate how wild he was prior to that. I simply don't know nor do I care.

I'm just saying that we need to keep it real when it comes to Pac. The nikka wasn't some revolutionary. He was a rapper with personality issues and massive hypocrite tendencies. He had some strong ideas while being bipolar and a danger to everyone around him. That's all. It doesn't diminish the power and greatness of some of his work but it certainly doesn't put him ahead of other great rappers.

There's no debate.nikkaz who was close quarters with him before the fame say that he was always "extra".

Stating that he was extra "extra" is nonessential....borderline reaching

how is it reaching when people who knew Pac intimately say that Juice took his extra-ness to a whole other level?

That's precisely what it is. If I'm to believe he was extra before Juice, he was certainly 2X extra after it.

Extra is extra...it's already excessive....there's no need for extra "extra"
