I honestly dont know how to take that tweet breh. Idk if we are going to pursue him if he is cut. Or if we are trade for him. We could trading Fletch & Graham & a pick. Lovie is running a 4-3 defense so Graham will be at home. But i read we did have interest in him last offseason but didnt pull the trigger. So now that he is back on the market we are going to try to land him now.

:snoop: Dudes claiming corner isn't important. It's the second most important position on defense. That said Revis is/was definitely overpaid. The only defensive players that should be making that type of money are pass rushers (4-3 ends and 3-4 olb). Possibly a Ray Lewis in his prime type also. This has been repeated tirelessly but it's a qb driven league. You better have a qb, protect the qb, and rush the qb. To cornerbacks' credit it's easier to find a top notch weapon for a qb than it is to find a guy to stop that weapon. As far as safeties, many of them are former corners for a reason.

Here's a list of the highest paid players per position last year fwiw:

And dude would look nice in a Texans jersey but we don't have money to blow like that. Oakland would be a nice look.

He's good but it isn't worth it to pay him that much at that age..... I would rather pick up a corner late in the draft for the low.

Aaron Colvin will drop because he tore his ACL at practice leading up to the senior bowl. He was top 5 CB prospect. Take him late and save some cap space at the same damn time.

I done told y'all nikkas for years that the market on cornerback is going to collapse and its it was silly to pay a corner more than 10-11 milly tops. No team is gonna take on that salary, better of letting him get cut and seeing where he is in the free market. Dude is a great corner but his prime is near its end.

He's going to get paid more than Shields and others getting $10 million a year. He's easily worth $2 to 3 million a year more. Your math is still unproven
