so far this is already more of a coherent and consistent album than oxymoron... I'm fukking with this so far :myman:

edit:

1. Whatever You Want is throwing off my vibe :stopitslime:...please deliver, track 8 :sadcam:

2. Track 8, ah I've heard this already... cool

3. Almost done listening...:patrice:...:gladbron:...looking like a solid 4/5...maybe 4.5/5...gotta listen more

4. fav tracks:

Black Thoughts
Eddie Kane
Dope Dealer
Tookie Knows II

First listen I'll give it 3-3.5 mic

Seeing this nikka live :dame: for his NYC show week, maybe I'll view the album in a better light after that

Album should have been 13-14 tracks, runs too long, that's the problem with so many rap albums

Album is fantastic! :obama:

Everything is dope imo even though some songs could of been cut. Shows you how good it is when even the filler is good.

The guest features came through on this album. Jadakiss, Vince Staples, E -40, Anderson .Pakk :wow:

Top songs off one listen - Ride Out, Str8 Ballin', By Any Means, Tookie Knows II, and JoHn Muir

it's not completely wack but tyler always manages to put some goofy ass synth/hi-hat/snare/etc. on his beats as his signature and it's just like him to do that and be that "going way too far, doing way too much" nikka that he truly is. he always has to go overboard, whether it be his production or his lyrics.

So I listened to the album - it sounds great. Usually I can spot a Tyler beat pretty easily but this one did not sound sufficiently different from the rest of album to warrant well ... all this attention.

Tyler's a talented producer. If it does sound goofy (don't agree with this btw), then that is purely intentional. You should listen to his older songs - "b*stard", "Steak Sauce", ... etc - these tracks are pure satanic viciousness distilled into audio.

I fux with it too, shyt is dope as fukk to me

Its trendy to hate on Tyler or any of the former OF cats. Brehs can't give the guy a fair shake, mostly because he is of a "suburban" persuasion.

Guy gets a little too weird for me too but I respect his artistic integrity and willingness to always experiment.
