Eddie Kane is serious ride out music.

Sbq redeemed himself after that directionless album called oxymoron.

Habits and cons still fire as fukk and part of a new era of hiphop but this is a very polished effort.

"Gettin high watching NBA league pass" Jada so simple but stay with the RNS

I sequenced the album differently and I think this version front to back just flows perfectly. Give it a shot and let me know

1. TorcH
2. Lord Have Mercy
3. THat Part (prefer CDQ BH version)
4. Groovy Tony/Eddie Kane
5. Know Ya Wrong
6. Ride Out
7. WHateva U Want
8. Overtime
9. Black THougHts
10. By Any Means
11. Dope Dealer
12. Big Body
13. JoHn Muir
14. Blank Face
15. Neva CHange
16. Str8 Ballin
17. Tookie Knows ll

The sequencing is quite off I find with the original but the tracks are all good for the most part just needs some rearranging for it to make sense and flow properly. Album is fukking fire tho regardless! :blessed:

:ehh: Here's how I sequenced it

My interpretation of the album's concept is how you can carry around a blank face and shoot and kill and rob and deal but at the end of the day you can't hide the human parts of your character no matter how hard you try. Even the hardest gangsters standing in front of judges and the fiends they serve with a blank face still feel emotion on the inside and have things and people they care about

The first half from 1-7 is Groovy Tony's part, the reckless blank faced killer
The second half from 8-15 is Eddie Kane's part, and is more of a rumination on the makings of Groovy Tony and the impending consequences of his actions. Eddie Kane is supposedly named after a movie character who achieves success, falls because of his demons but rises again at the end of the movie when he overcomes them. This half of the album sort of follows that narrative

1 Torch
2 Lord Have Mercy - Great slow buildup to a big epic track
3 Str8 Ballin
4 That Part
5 Dope Dealer - Similar trap synths to That Part
6 Ride Out
7 Groovy Tony / Eddie Kane

8 Tookie Knows II - Q and his friends go down for a lick. Piano's in this track flow nicely into the piano's of the next song
9 Kno Ya Wrong - Q finds himself surrounded by leeches and women who take his money but never truly cared for him
10 Overtime
11 By Any Means - Continues the hi-hat sound from Overtime as well as the story, "you can fukk my bytch you can have my hoe"
12 John Muir - By Any Means talks about getting it no matter what you have to do, John Muir is an extenuation of that and talks about actually getting it
13 Black Thoughts - The sort of turning point when Q sees what gang violence does to his community
14 Neva Change
15 Blank Face

Left off Big Body cause I don't like that song and Whatever U Want cause one girl track with Overtime was enough

Eddie Kane is serious ride out music.
he did this on oxymoron with prescription/oxymoron...i wish on that track and groovy tony/eddie kane he'd separate them. jada did his thing and groovy tony is cool, but eddie kane is next level. i want to be able to just run that track whenever i feel like it. i could go thru the hassle of chopping it myself, but i hardly ever open my laptop.

whateva u want >>>>>>>> overtime by a million miles. whatever u want got that dreamy, hallucinogenic high bounce to it

You can replace Overtime with it if you want, its just kinda redundant to have both. One of them is bound to be filler, I just personally prefer Overtime more cuz Miguel's my guy

Second spin:

Kanye West is a fakkit.

His "freestyle" at the end of that terrible song being one of udeen reasons.
Exactly what I thought I was losing my shyt to my gf the first time I heard his verse and that nonsense at the end of the track I mean what in the actual fukk Kanye :martin:

Ok took some people's advice and put blank face as outro and it's actually perfect. I slowly faded out the piano on tookie knows ll because the end was kinda awkward and made it transition smoothly into blank face then I trimmed the last 2 seconds of blank face and got rid of that awkward cymbal sound and the album flows perfectly for me while still being able to keep all the tracks. By trimming the cymbal on blank face the album loops to perfection too from last track to intro. I'll be bumping it this way until I buy my copy of the CD but this shyt is tight right here :obama:

1. TorcH
2. Lord Have Mercy
3. THat Part (prefer CDQ BH version)
4. Groovy Tony/Eddie Kane
5. Know Ya Wrong
6. Ride Out

10. By Any Means
11. Dope Dealer
12. Big Body
13. JoHn Muir
14. Neva CHange
15. Str8 Ballin
16. Tookie Knows ll (fade out piano)
17. Blank Face (cut last 2 secs off)

Didn't he say Kendrick sequenced the album? Wtf Kendrick :beli: Seems like they got the first half sequenced to perfection then said fukk it and just started throwing tracks wherever it's really off putting to a guy who enjoys the sequencing aspect of great albums.
