are the red and blue companion pieces to Kendrick Lamar's Black, White (and some grey !) album.
This album is fan-fukking-tastic by the way, barring one or two songs that I
probably won't be listening to on repeated listens, this is a strong, very strong release from TDE.

wish the album focused on bars, too many signing portions that break to flow of the songs, too many features. The production is great though, sounds like it was crafted by a single producer, very rare coming from a mainstream album. Unfortunately, industry fingerprints are still visible on the project, would've been damn near classic material, if he only made a few revisions

i agree with this part. i personally dont like all the soul-type singing parts and whatnot. i just want straight verses from Q.

exactly, soul always carries a strong feminine quality with it and it dilutes the music, keep that shyt separate. If anything use a vocal sample, or just let the beat run. If Illmatic was filled with a bunch of black girl lost then the album would lose half of its respect and recognition
