Yoooo! 2nd or 2rd post in this thread. I cant leave this album alone.

I dont know how the fukk a low key unassuming dude like Q can put together a multi-layered cohesive album like this.

Its sinister without being OT, its funny without being corny, its honest without being preachy and weirdly catchy without being commercial.

The fact TDE have two artists in Kendrick and Q. Artists that offer a unique POV of the place they come from and be completley different is pretty rare.

That fact that both artist manifest their creativity to such a high standard doubles down on that rairty.

Been some decent muisc so far this year, but for a body of work, look no further.

Album. Of. The. Mother. fukkin. Year.

Q!!!

Man, I haven't listened to an album back to back this many times since like 2007.

My only gripe is Overtime.

I'm just amazed at how hungry he sounds on.... well, everything. Except Kno Ya Wrong. But there he really does sound like he's chilling with a blunt in his hand and smirking at bad thoughts.

Outside of that, he beat the shyt out of every beat on this album.

I remember doing a slight double take at the very first bar.

":demonic: THIS THAT 'fukk THE BLOGS'":demonic:

me: :dwillhuh::merchant::lupe:

then he LITERALLY let that shyt breathe until he started the next bar. :whew:

Forgot which was which, but on the Rap radar podcast he said one was his friend that just got out of prison (I think Traffic), and the other guy is a local dude he knows around the way. He said this was the first time they'd ever recorded and made an actual song before.

Great podcast all around. He goes super deep into the album.
